The wider investment community is unaware (or knows little about) tiny EME
Most of the buying is by current holders of EME
I would imagine due to our track record on discoveries 🙈🤦🏻😩 that a lot of potential investors are wary
Maybe once the spud date is announced that will change 🤷‍a94;️

Talk on the boards pre drill funding was that this was going to fly...as soon as the rig contract was announced...no share price reaction...as soon as the funding was announced...negative share price reaction...as soon as the GSA is announced...well HoAs announced but no reaction...GSA forecast to be before Christmas (notwithstanding previous forecast that it would all be done by mid 2021). No news share price doesn't move, and when we get news the share price falls...ffs I'm losing the will to live!!

Laz - Tom has never done PR well. I remember a few years ago we were all so distressed about his complete inability to advise us of what's going on I even speculated on these boards that he might be suffering from depression or some other form of mental illness. I can't remember the details of when and which prospect, but the behaviour was so extreme, so bizarre, so much against his own self-interest that it was utterly bewildering.

This lack of communication is nowhere near as bad as that time was.

It is a tad naive what has transpired. It would be hoped that Empyrean will put in place a protocol that prevents the same happening again no matter who is to blame. And then it might be wondered why the protocol wasn't in place in the first instance? Be careful.

begorrah, why keep harping on about the deposit? The only way to transfer cash to the wrong account is if you have been given the scam account details. The only way that can happen, afaiaa is that somebody has had their account hacked, the emails have been intercepted and fake emails have been sent in their place. This is very sophisticated cyber crime. Why would they target EME which makes very few payments? IMHO they have targeted COSL who presumably receive these huge payments on an almost daily basis. Therefore IMHO it is COSL who have the problem, and it's clear that they are continuing with the well, so is that not an admission of guilt?

I agree that Tom really should have had all the PR set up ready to put out immediately and I can't understand why he hasn't? My only thoughts are that he has been bogged down in negotiations with COSL/banks/police/lawyers/wife over the cyber crime, and had to put preparation of the PR on the back burner...that said why hasn't Gaz sorted the PR out and been the voice of EME? Come on Tom, get your act together and let's have some PR pronto!!

I would have liked to see some PR the moment the funding was announced.A big fanfare about full steam ahead etc but, as mentioned by someone else - would be tricky to dodge questions about 'how do you lose a deposit like that?'

Of course, it'll be the weather conditions that prevented the survey taking place since the end of October or even an update about it - not the missing deposit.
