They've already referred to emmerson as (going to be) a mid tier producer. Its a slamdunk investment with a guaranteed market for the product and will be highly cash generative.I cant think of one single standout concern to the viability or likelihood of the project succeeding.Any minor concerns that some people seem to want to focus on are trivial distraction and are unrelated to the actual project.

Now is the time to stake a stake from 6 or 7p

Through these impacts, and with effective policies in place, the study concluded that the Project has the potential to directly impact 8 of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Morocco

When the ramping is done these will fall back thats the time to buy not after its been ramped.

There's no change from a week ago except a week has passed, no licence no funding no rns.

Plenty of hot air 🤣

Graham did mention in a September proactive interview that they would need to do a small raise for FEED etc before the main one so it shouldn't be a big surprise if there is a small raise.

Sloppy you're right. HL admitted that he'd been forced down from 5p-ish to 4.25p for the last placing, essentially because he didn't realise what spivs they are in the City of London.

They have a much, much tighter system in Oz, Canada and the USA, and normally the management have to ask for a suspension before they even alert any brokers that they're considering a placing. That's much fairer to everyone.

Instead of speculating there will be a placing imminently, let's look at it in more detail.

We had over £800k cash and trade balance at the end of June, and raised probably £1.5M net in the last placing, say £2.3M total.

The 2019 full-year admin costs were only £1M, and for H1 2020 reduced further to £375k. However since June we will have probably started to increase staff costs (including GC!) and spend on the FEED, costs associated with the permits and funding discussions etc. Let's say we've spent £1M in H2 last year. We should still have at least £1.3M left, so in theory we don't need to raise more money for a few months yet!

So maybe you're right cottoner?

I guess the question is just whether our management need to raise another £1 - 2M (say) for some key near-term expense we don't have visibility of. They may also want to bolster the coffers to help deliver the best price for the major capex. Having a strong cash cushion means that funders can't treat us as 'desperate' in negotiations!

Who knows. At the end of the day, do you trust our management to do the right/smart thing to deliver long-term massive value? I do! If any holder doesn't then they should maybe reconsider their investment.

Graham Clarke said this week that they expected permits to be issued early in H1.

Thus, they're expected in no more than perhaps 8 weeks , once they are issued they will further derisk the project and should see the share price rise accordingly.

Surely with these short timescales in mind , EML must wait until after the permits have been issued before considering even a small fund raise.

The good news is HL admitted that he effectively got the last placement wrong. Fund raises work very different in London to Aus and the merest sniff of a raise in the city results in some insiders shorting to force the price.

He will not make that mistake again and whilst I do expect a small raise to support ongoing ops I think it could well be the first tranche from a strategic partner. Trying to base ones investment strategy around impending raises is very difficult especially when share price can move very quickly in a short period of time as is the case with EML.

teapot222 - what was the last placing price?

Teapot yes hopefully. I was an EUA holder (0.6p > 20p) and know a lot of holders who are a bit gobsmacked tonight. Especially with leverage/spreadbetting, it can only take a modest drop in a share price to stop people out, triggering a selling avalanche.... and as you say sometimes having effects across the market...

I also agree that as we get closer to starting construction, larger investors are going to want an 'in' for the long-term... not a quick flip.

A small retrace after a steady rise cyber, sell on news people out after presentation as we could be a few days to weeks away from licence news. Also, and more likely, the recent heavy fall in GGP along with today's carnage on EUA and accounts start needing to provide margins for positions and fear makes people sell in panic. There could be a small placing here yes, but we never reached the last placing price and then performed well after it. I think this placing might go to a sticky holder anyway rather than flipper types. Long and strong LTHs and hope for a bit of stabilising blue tomorrow.

Disappointing dip today, I wonder if in fact there is a small-ish placing coming in? As I said yesterday, raising money to advance the company's plans to make us all rich is absolutely fine by me! :-).Any placing at EML's current stage is a 'positive placing' and not a risky one during exploration stages, or a 'negative placing' in some potless AIM rampfest just to keep the directors in cigars.Let's see what happens over the next few months of significant newsflow...!

ADM is predicting Chinese imports of corn to top 25 million MT in 2021, up from around 7 million MT in 2020. Ethanol demand in Brazil is tightening the balance sheet and price are reflecting this. Meanwhile, cotton (potash pig) is priced well above the cost of production, especially for Brazilian growers. We have a perfect storm of Chinese stockpiling, poor weather (La Nina impacting Mato Grosso in Brazil) and major issues in part of Texas. Compounding the balance sheet tightening, Russia is restricting exports of wheat, corn, rye and barley. This all seems supportive for potash prices.

Low capex/ opex projects will be financed first, especially if they have favourable environment and social profiles.

Cyberbub - many thanks for your post in answer to mine last night. Sorry work got in the way so I couldn't reply.

I like your calculations very much and can see my 50p as a base might be a little too conservative. Good luck anyway with your holding and good luck to all genuine holders as well
