And what's even worse is one day they want to sell hartest stake to GE..we could've then kept Total carbide and invested in our businesses ..then next day they decided to take it over as it meant a placing and daley could increase his stake..and hartest is now worth 500k to us from 25m..you couldn't make it upI'm afraid every decision of daley has been to the good of his own stake and control and the detriment of ekt and all the other shareholders He couldn't leave quick enough as he is ruining this company on all fronts..he's a scholar and should be studying for a masters and PhD not running a public companyBut while he gets paid 300k per annum with no resistance from anyone he will just keep earning 300k while our shares keep falling and shareholders get no dividends or capital growthShambles

Most the large organisations already deal with other companies who can provide far more technical/software than just a food checker. I believe that is why Elektron were seeking their staff to try and promote Checkit when they went for a meal.

The business model appears to be flawed, Elektron have entered the arena when there were already established companies with high profile clients and the market was moving on at a rapid pace.

With the amount of money spent on Checkit so far the company should be earing a fair amount of revenue, well they just aren't.

As the market gears up for the "internet of things" there will be multiple ways of communicating, which would make a stand alone device unnecessary, that is a major flaw in checkits development and entirely foreseeable.

The problems with our management is they do not listen to their co directors and others advice, Daley and Wilson are incensed with their own funnel vision, they are right everyone else wrong. That is why we have seen such a high director churn.

Rototherm told me they thought Elektron were on the wrong track with Checkit.

Simon I can honestly say this is the worse management I have come acrossAndy seems like a good guy and k led what he's doing I've invested in many companies and have often doubled and tripled my money but the mgmnt here sucksWhat I'm so surprised about is that the dynamic duo still think they have done a good job and that they are the right men for the jobFacts are facts ..we haven't paid a dividend in years and we are still not making a profitSimon Reading some of your notes you actually have a good case as we were 5 pct short to win a GM but the Jsop was unlawful as it gave them votes before the hurdle was metI think you could win

Within the not too distant future just about every house/business/office will have sensors all will be able to communicate with one another.

There will be no need for a company to pay for a package to monitor waste, water, food temperature most of the monitoring could be free in any event.

All that is needed is the software to tie all together and that could also be provided free.

These packages are free now in a lot of homes with gas/electricity consumption by a utility provider

The Checkit reminds me of Trafficmaster they thought consumers would be willing to pay a rental they were wrong!


Question:

Why buy a device which only does food when you can monitor just about anything when all you need is basic equipment. IMC for example have multiple monitors some of their systems only take hours to setup and can be set up by yourselves...



What about carbon monoxide or legionnaire prevention by water monitoring is checkit able to deal with these issues?

Does a checkit tell you:

-what the temperate is like in the Restaurant Lounge and what temperature is like outside the venue?

-how much water has been used in the sink

-how much water has gone down the bog

-how much footfall has come past the shop

-what is the average consumption of potatoes per serving

-what has been banked in cash

-what is the average tip

-blood pressure of every staff member/pulse rate/body temperature

-time staff clocked in and out

-how much electric/gas is used at a venue

-how much waste has accumulated

-does the venue need new bin bags

-what time is the busiest time next to prepare food

-has anyone in the restaurant passed wind and did the automatic air come on

.......................................................

The list is unlimited all one needs is a sensor/probe software/package and it be incorporated in a multiple of devices such as a phone/laptop/monitor and most organisations already have these.

Probe/Sensor millions and millions are in use today !

Wireless technology so what everything is going wireless.!

Cloud, everything can be in the cloud. Everything can be paperless. In fact lots of things been paperless for years.

Software providers have been around for years.

Computers, Laptops, Phones, TV's all can be integrated and communicate with one another.

Its like United Office say, why on earth pay for a package of sensors when you can have unlimited sensors and just pay a top up fee for a United Office package?

All these things will get ever more competitive and will be bought for buttons in the future it cost next to nothing to manufacture sensors and probes these days.

With the "Internet of Things" taking off just about everything will communicate whenever and where ever we want it.

Elektron were and are supposed to be a manufacturer yet they do not manufacture Checkit!

Elektron do not claim to be a software developer there are huge companies out there doing that.

The market is changing all the time there is no need to have a separate equipment for wireless technology it can all be incorporated in existing equipment.

If Checkit do not win any substantial contracts very soon its going nowhere.

With regards checkit not only have EKT been behind the curve in respect of its development but there are far bigger communication/software developers moving forward. One of these is United Office.

The development of Checkit actually simple stuff.

All you need is a probe or sensor, wireless communicational and computer.

However the so far as the computer is concerned any computer can be used why pay for an expensive package!!!

This is already being done with United Office

Domino has the United package.

I am to contact Panorama next week to see if they are interested particularly due to the extent of wrongdoing by lawyers as well.

There are two main issues the first confidence in this city must be maintained

Second confidence in the legal professional must be maintained.

Just about everything the Chairman has done since he joined the board for himself. I could draw a list of things but I would run out of paper.

What shareholders don't seem to understand is one can claim compensation for mere breached of duty as you say failure to promote the company alone never mind the more serious claims of deceit and or fraud.

Things will be heating up soon I did think I would have had the approved judgement but also hinted at further legal action if needed and it seems that is a possibility now but I cannot say what.

The defendants were warned of further legal action.

To be perfect frank there are numerous routes to go down all can include urgent COURT orders, litigation continues.

Its important whatever route I go down that a strong message be sent this type of conduct never repeated and that message includes a severe warning to lawyers as well.

The Fraud Intelligence Unit at the SRA has been alerted recently due to fraudulent claims in relation to lawyers who have been involved in my action and further evidence is being gathered.

Its possible there will be more claims and more defendants in relation to fraud.

I don't think anyone will see a more serious issue similar to mine where there have been so many lawyers implicated in wrongdoing.

Simon Did Daley say the dividend was sacrosanct? Did he then buy shares when we had high debt levels ? Did he then cancel the dividend due to higher debt? So he bought back shares to increase his stake in the company as he knew there were plans to oust him..he gave Hendersons a premium price to the market of about 20pct(shares were 17p a week before the buyback)so our shares would climb closer the 25p hurdleThis is behaviour that the judge will not like..Simon I think u have a reasonable case based on the above Good luck mate

The law is complex that is why most posters here do not understand! What you are all missing is the courts been misled in most of the court proceedings and that is the reason the Vice Chancellor has allowed further contempt of court action.

Furthermore as a consequence of fraud that is why there will be a way forward to continue legal proceedings.

I would suggest you all keep your eyes open and watch for developments.

However you also have to look at it from the other side. No charges of misconduct or misappropriation have stuck to the management, however daily they are subject to accusations of criminal acts.Just because they haven't taken action doesn't mean they are guilty!

I think we have to admire Simon, no matter what we think about him or his case.

He has his back against the wall and has essentially already lost everything if this doesn't come off.

Simon - I can't say I'm overly enamoured of being singled out on your earlier post. I've rarely criticised you, only asked questions....question which hopefully you have the answers to as they are the most base of things that the courts will consider.My stance is that it smells like you don't have much of a case, however I haven't seen the evidence and I am not an expert in the finer points of law.Unless you are forthcoming with this info then people will jump to conclusions. For reference, I don't know of a case ever where the losing side came out and stated "Oh well, I must have been wrong, never mind". Generally it's "This is a travesty", "I'm still right and will take it all the way", "The evidence was stacked in favour of the other side", etc, etc.We need the court transcript. Of course you don't have to answer any questions here, however the more you post, the more questions will be asked. If you don't like the questions that come at you on a free bulletin board, don't post!
