If you buy shares in a company knowing that the directors are rubbish you could still sue them for their mismanagement.

Thats an extension of what I have just read about nuisance:

"“If someone knowingly moves to an existing nuisance,” says Greatholder, “it is still a nuisance.” He says the “law of nuisance” – which has developed through case law over the last two centuries – has undergone a radical shakeup in recent years since the landmark case of Coventry v Lawrence in 2014. The action was brought by a couple who moved into a house next to an existing racing track and then realised that life with a constant soundtrack of motorbikes and stock cars wasn’t to their taste.

Remarkably, the claimants were granted damages and an injunction against the racing track, which had existed since 1975. The Supreme Court upheld the ruling on appeal, dismissing the track owner’s defence that the new residents “came to the nuisance”. The court held that when someone uses their property for the same purposes as their predecessor (ie, as a dwelling), the argument that they came to an existing nuisance does not constitute a defence. The couple may have won, but during the protracted case their house burnt down."

Simon - My most sincere condolences on your loss - While we have only met on line I have followed your investing problems with interest but you need to take a break from them (if possible) to help the family through this difficult period. OK I know easy to say and difficult to do BUT having lost members of my own family I know it is the best thing to do - you only have one family.

Simon, they are not allowed to remove family non value possessions, they can take assets, a family bible is not an asset, it only had value to your sister and the family, will send you email for high court enforcement, where you can reclaim the bible, and any other session that should not have been taken
