Coronavirus: UK to open up European holidays from 6 July

UK holidaymakers are expected to be allowed to travel to Spain, France and Greece this summer after ministers confirmed people returning from certain countries will not have to quarantine.

The rules will be relaxed on 6 July after a review of health measures.

The full list of travel corridors with the UK will be published next week.

Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Belgium, Turkey, Germany and Norway are also expected to feature but it is thought Portugal and Sweden will not.

A government spokesman said the new rules would give people "the opportunity for a summer holiday abroad" while also boosting the UK economy - but stressed the relaxation depended on risks staying low.

Porsche, what a whopper you are.

Well respected financial institutions (employing a team of experts) have just pumped hundreds of millions into this at around £7 a share. Despite that you as the resident ADVFN whopper state that price will be "rapidly heading back to 4 or 5 quid".

Are you for real?

You really ought to read all your posts before hitting the send button and then count to a hundred. If before reaching a hundred you realise that it will clearly highlight your limited intelligence then maybe consider not posting it ;-)

With respect to post number 12872 you should have ditched the post before reaching number five....

Budget carrier easyJet has agreed the sale and leaseback of six A320neo (new engine option) aircraft for aggregate cash sales proceeds of around £206m.

The proceeds of this deal make up part of the anticipated £500-650m in funding from sale and leasebacks which was highlighted in the trading update of May 28, and will be used to maximise liquidity and further strengthen the financial position of easyJet.

The net book value of the aircraft, which vary in age from six months to two years of age, was approximately £141m as at March 31, 2020.

The transaction was executed in two parts, with the initial proceeds of around £102m relating to three A320neo aircraft included in the reported £301m SLB proceeds outlined in the first half results of June 24, and the remaining £104m forming part of the anticipated remaining proceeds from SLB transactions.

rapidly heading back to 4 or 5 quid. The business model has entirely evaporated, the uk a covid basket case, more lock downs to come, poorly led (disaster of a government ) and fed up population with the brexit fiasco still to come. If you want to make money you short the uk and invest in the S&P.

EasyJet flew lower after raising £419m from investors to strengthen its balance sheet against the potential costs of further disruption from Covid-19. The budget airline issued 59.542m new shares at a price of 703p a share - a 5% discount to the closing share price on Wednesday.

Please do your own research as always.

DG , all built in to the price I reckon. That's why they got away with the placing at just a 5% discount.

Okay so is it thought that any share price increase due to Air Coridors being announced shortly ( is built in ) and hence their timing of the Rights issue intention ?

Thoughts ?
