Coronavirus mortality in Lombardy is now 8%, more than double Wuhan! Lombardy health system is completely beyond ability to deliver adequate care - hence rationing who gets ICUs. It’s sad, so so sad. #COVID19 Let’s not let this happen to us America... hxxps://www.wsj.com/articles/italy-with-elderly-population-has-worlds-highest-death-rate-from-virus-11583785086 …

Easyjet and Flybe use to operate in competition out of my local airport on one route. Since the demise of Flybe the Easyjet tickets on this route one way/single have gone up from £50/£100 depending on the day and time to £232/£382.

Interesting.

Despite all the bad news posted on ADVFN one of our major shorters seems to have turned........ I can only think it's the slump in oil/fuel prices that has brought this on.

Some would say the WHO have 100% responsible for the spread of the virus in refusing to close borders

I have been suprised how all countries have seemingly adopted WHO advice.
For anything else in life, world peace, green agenda etc, there are always countries backing out of agreements(cough.. Trump). No one has mentioned this for CV. It is thankfully heart warming to have the world on the same page, unilateral action is rear.

The airlines in the United States are saying that Business travel has dropped to virtually zero.

They went on to say that not all this business travel will come back because companies will be use to having internet conferences which saves them a lot of time and money whereas the leisure travel will come back.

BA tend to make most of their money from business travelers traveling business or first class whereas airlines such as Easyjet make most their money from the leisure market.

I'm not qualified or able to do any of those things you ask. What I can do is post the numbers for the UK as they are released each day usually between 2pm - 2:30pm and world numbers updated here regularly throughout the day.

Current travel outlook, minus 50%:

"In recent days, the Lufthansa Group has been exposed to drastic declines in bookings and numerous flight cancellations due to the spread of the COVID-19 virus. All traffic areas are now affected

The Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG therefore decided today to reduce the flight capacity offered even more than previously planned. Based on further demand development, capacity will be reduced by up to 50% in the coming weeks."
