God the brits are pathetic, can see how we ended up with brexit. NORMAL FLU KILLS 17K A YEAR IN UK, this has only killed 3900 WORLDWIDE in three months. If you are in London today you stand a much bigger chance of getting stabbed that catching a bit of flu.

philanderer you have made several classic errors by inferring that you have knowledge by the simple repetition of verifiable facts.

What is clearly invisible to you in the mathematical and virological sense negates your post entirely. Maybe if you at least look at some very simple to observe facts and create a graph the situation might become slightly more apparent?

Virgin Atlantic has confirmed it has been forced to operate some near-empty flights after bookings were dented by the coronavirus outbreak.

It is operating the flights to try to retain take-off and landing slots at major airports such as Heathrow.

Under European law, if flights are not operated, slots have to be forfeited.

All I am asking for is a bit of perspective. The huge majority of those listed by Phil above have gone overseas and picked up the virus. And whenever they report (sadly) a death it is often mentioned that they had underlying medical issues. This is certainly the case in China (where it is claimed it is now under control).

I'm not worried for me but for several old folk I know who are starting to get scared. Ryanair have canned all Italy flights so I'll get 2 refunds and steer clear. No dount EZJ will follow if they want to avoid being villified.
