I exited Easyjet again first thing this morning. Getting increasingly nervous as Brexit deadline nears - might offer me a better entry point. USA's opening a trade war front with Europe won't aid sentiment.

Seems i'm doing way better trading stuff short-term (weeks) than longer term holding anyway. Likewise exited Centamin first thing in the morning at 122.50p, now its 110p! There is a lot of nervousness out there!

With competitors continuing to struggle .............

"Global air travel has grown by between 4% and 5% a year, UBS said, meaning the overall numbers are doubling every 15 years. Industry forecasts from plane makers Airbus and Boeing predict growth will continue at that rate until 2035."

Onwards and upwards EZJ :-)

Having an all airbus fleet must be worth a premium now and the more problems with the Max the better for EasyJet

To many pilots, the greedy pilots at BA want to take a warning.https://www.mirror.co.uk/money/ryanair-pilots-told-take-unpaid-20234772

Come on lads you let the side down. Only 1.6% today ? OK I'll take it :-)

These daily increases despite all the volatility in the markets must add to the pressure on the remaining shorters to get their fingers out and close their positions.

Well gents as I made my way across to Galway I was hoping to see the +5% figure once we got a 4G signal. You've let the side downs lads.......

With open shorts still showing at over 4% this still has a long way to go. If it's +2% on average per day then so be it ;-)

Up to Donegal tomorrow so lets see how we go .......

Sweyn,

I agree, I think it would be folly in the first instance. However, with EZJ's A321LR orders, some short-medium routes will come into play. Coverage of the Med basin across MENA region and a small possibility of high demand US Eastern Seaboard routes (NY/Newark, Boston etc). They will capitalise but must also expand as Europe is saturated.

i now have substantial stock both in easyjet and ryanair - i thought 5% would be asking too much tlobs (!) but we might just, just get it if it continues like this today he. One has to keep in mind this was trading for much higher - i sold it around 16+

Boris' suspension of parliament being ruled unlawful by the top court today also means that the likelihood of a further brexit delay is morel likely now which soothes investor nerves.

I can guarantee that that would be the last thing they would consider. EasyJet is based on some core principles, one of which is single aircraft type ensuring greatest rostering/training/engineering simplicity and efficiency.Taking a foray into long haul low cost despite the evidence of all previous attempts that you can't make money doing it seems unlikely.

Darius, I think it's important to separate out the well run larger airlines and poorly run airlines.

Thomas Cook have been a basket case for months. Let's hope Easyjet take over some of their leases on long haul aircraft at advantageous rates and put on flight to New York, Florida and Las Vegas :-)

Doesn't say much for the pundits that few (none?) of them were on the case of the airlines much back in June 18. Not that they are exactly great at forecasting.

I don't recall many saying that EZJ was overblown at 1800p.

"For some it might be, for the vast majority a holiday week-end break starts when you get to the airport."

Surely you're not implying that some of us (cough) have a drink in Spoons before boarding ?
