seems easyjet is really milking it on these strikes

While air ticket prices are typically fluid and rises during periods of heavy demand are not uncommon, one expert said the level of increase seen during this strike was particularly extreme.
A return flight this week from London to Nice, in the South of France, costs as much as £1,272 ($1,573) for less than two hours in the air.
That was the price offered on Monday morning for an easyJet flight departing London Gatwick Monday evening, and returning Wednesday morning. Returning Tuesday cost a little less, at £1,055.
Those fares -- which did not include seat assignments, checked baggage, or any food or drink -- had sold out by 3 p.m. Monday.

I remain optimistic that Easyjet have had a good run over the past few months with Ryanair and now BA handing passengers on a plate to them :-)

And that is on top of the positive trading update a few weeks ago.

it seems to be grinding up slowly albeit I expected it to go up much more aggressively given that a further delay to Brexit is now probable.

Lansdowne Partners (UK) LLP 0.43% 3 Sep 2019 down from 0.52% still a long way for them to go to get that position closed :-)

Ryanair pilots based in the UK have voted for further strike action. The decision to stand down for an additional seven days comes after five days of industrial action – which caused no flight disruptions – failed to result in a new agreement on pay and conditions.

It’s the latest in a series of strikes and deteriorating labour relations for Europe’s largest budget carrier, which announced in August that 900 jobs were at risk due to an excess of pilots and cabin crew.


Another huge opportunity for EZJ to pick up thousands more Ryanair passengers :-)
