I wonder why are easyjet and ryanair up strongly today? I'm somewhat surprised by the mini-recovery but I won't change my mind of staying on the sidelines.

I think the 737 max will be pretty safe after all the modifications. It has to be. That said I might avoid wherever possible for a couple of years.

Lol, a true, no frills solution to an issue that highlights passengers safety - hide the fact its a 737 max. They really have not thought this through. I'm afraid I'll be staying well away from Ryanair (or any airline) and not flying ANY 737s.

The Boeing 737 max issues are a huge problem for many airlines.

Now is the time for Easyjet to fill their boots and convert thousand more frequent flyers over to Easyjet.

Ryanair is cutting flights this winter and next summer due to delays linked to the crisis at Boeing following two fatal accidents that left more than 350 people dead. The low-cost Irish airline had been expecting to take delivery of 58 new Boeing 737 Max jets but said on Tuesday because of delays it will now only receive 30 new planes. In a statement to the Irish stock exchange it said the delays would almost halve the airline's growth rate next summer to 3 per cent.

Ryanair share price is up 1.5% this morning!

It's had a strong run since the turn on 26th June when the price was down at just 862p. Some fingers have been burnt since then :-)
