22/5/2019 11:11 | This is ridiculous. Company will be just fine and is very cheap | dealy
22/5/2019 08:29 | rot in hell Brexiteers I'm glad I've exited. | bor491
22/5/2019 08:15 | All airlines hit, IAG p.e 3.9 EasyJet 10, so for me EasyJet someway to fall yet, if investors give IAG who had record profits only a p.e 3.9. I still have 850p target on EasyJet. | montyhedge
21/5/2019 09:17 | Yes, I don't doubt that at all. Shorting pound and long dollar earners would have been a good trade. | alex1621
21/5/2019 00:17 | Johnson and Raab are going to try to out Brexit each other over coming weeks, so risks of no deal are rising, particularly with Farage on the sidelines holding their feet to the no deal fire. Things might get a little messy. Leaving the politics aside, it should create some opportunities. (I favour Remain, but that's besides the point). EZJ was lower Monday on the RYA outlook. | essentialinvestor
21/5/2019 00:08 | That must have been a nice breakfast!. | essentialinvestor
20/5/2019 23:41 | Alex1621 (post 8502) - I had a very large position short £ versus $ on 23 June 2016. I finished the night £45,000 better off - it could have been more had I not closed some positions. Best 24 hours I've ever had. | gorse
20/5/2019 20:07 | Looking forward to a no deal Porsche1945 and then the EU to implode. You say poorer? Your facts then big head!!! | barbar7619
20/5/2019 17:17 | poor old warranty, have you left your allotment for a while to count out your pennies and collect your prescriptions?? ...got a real chip on your shoulder, just why self harming peasants like you should nt be allowed to vote. | porsche1945
20/5/2019 10:49 | I get the feeling that here are a few angry shorters on here posting their doom and gloom again. Monty being a good example. The company are doing well and on course to deliver what they said they would deliver this year. Oh and thankfully are not being impacted by the Boeing 737 Max issues that other airlines are blaming for their woes :-) | tlobs2
20/5/2019 09:36 | Incidentally, if you do a search on YouTube there is a Bloomberg short news item on Nigel Farage, and his antics on the eve of the vote. It appears that this man of the people was conceding defeat on live TV whilst in possession of hedge fund funded exit polls that pointed clearly towards a leave victory. He did it twice, and GBP pushed up even higher ... before crashing down when the results filtered through. The grubby conman was stiffing us all. Man of the people ... | alex1621
20/5/2019 09:27 | I think you posted that before? I've used EasyJet many times and would happily do so again. So you think UK customers would rather be on Aeroflot, Afghan Air ... or perhaps the North Korean carriers? These surveys are meaningless. | alex1621
20/5/2019 09:22 | The government might fall even before Brexit. Even if it doesn't fall Theresa's head might fall soon and a hard Brexiteer leader will be brought forward. That would lead to absolute chaos as far as the markets are concerned. That's why I sold - I'm not going to sit here and wait for this stock to keep falling like there's no tomorrow. It is a mess that the UK politicians and Brexit xenophobic crowd brought on themselves. And there's an issue of hedging - someone on the LSE board pointed out correctly that with the current crisis it is very difficult for Easyjet to hedge the variables: 'well good luck with any company hedging the £/euro rate or £/ $ or the price of oil over the next five years..! or the Euro /$ rate.. Much income is accumulated in euros, much in pounds, none in dollars except from connections..Oil paid in $`s It`s so complex.' To complicate the picture further you have Iran cornered like a mouse trapped in a corner - a mouse in danger will do anything to hit back - and there's already a hint of what's going to happen - if Saudi Arabia oil infrastructure is severely hit that would push the oil price thru the skies. | bor491
20/5/2019 08:58 | No one knows the future, however if the UK leaves without a deal I would expect the government to fall within a few weeks. Worth remembering just how fickle the UK electorate is. It's not the blitz, very different county now. Disruptions to daily life are unlikely to be tolerated. | essentialinvestor
20/5/2019 08:47 | Thomas Cook was voted worst airline in the the world, EasyJet second worst in the world, not just the U.K., but the world. Not a good label to have. | montyhedge
18/5/2019 12:25 | warranty ...............to filter the numpties go to bottom of post reply / 4th left at the bottom/filter/ and put in the name you wish to filter. I expect you know that though.. there are a lot of people spouting plenty of nonsense on these boards. no one likes losing money, but one has to take the rough with the smooth...or if you don't like playing with fire keep away.... we use EasyJet quite a bit for business and pleasure and find them very acceptable for a low cost airline. Ryanair is total pants...and it comes from the top man of course. | cottlet
17/5/2019 21:27 | Who cares about pro- or anti-Brexit? The situation is what it is - get over it. The way to play the Stock Market is to accept the way things are, not the way you want them. EZY was a good buy yesterday because at times pessimism is as overdone as optimism, and EZY rarely disappoints at results. But I didn't take advantage so hands up. I don't plan on buying with the renewed Brexit uncertainty coming up. Anything could happen. | taurusthebear
17/5/2019 19:53 | Really?.....the EU was running the UK? the UK was doing fine before the referendum. | dtaliadoros
17/5/2019 16:01 | In line- plus increase in cost for the most is variable eg fuel, so increase capacity is good and there are several areas to reduce cost so in control, but increasing volume against this BREXIT climate is good. TUI benefitting from meeting expectations too, and rising prob further today due to the demise of Thomas Cook - BREXIT is a cause 100% whether proves to be long term too remains to be seen- be interesting to see how it pans out- we are but viewers..... | stevedaytrader |
