Definitely boom time for airlines. Measured growth is the order of the day. Although I can't imagine why anyone would want to go to Sicily.

Setting up for the assault on £5. If it breaks through I think £5.30 will be where it consolidates.

I think that there has already been much talk about the guidance that the good old UK public aren't going to stop their holidays as they are a priority. I think that they may be shorter or less grand which really plays well for the budget airlines.
Certainly with our hotels 3 star is the biggest seller and the best value. This is now the mass market. We are seeing people be more strategic. We are being more strategic as well especially in the areas with limited flights.

So he talks his book. Me too. I hold and will until 2024 results are known. I expect that it will be £6-8 by then.

Where’s everyone’s posts slating Datait? Turns out he’s done really well here and will likely make him a decent return

Not so much interested in a spike more a sustainable rise. However it's pressuring £5 and I suspect that it will run to below £5.50 in the very near term

Just a couple of weeks ago I posted about easyJet expanding easyJet holidays to Germany.
Now the rumour from the summer reports are confirmed as it goes live this week. This is a huge new market for easyJet holidays and ripe for exploitation.

I think that we'll be hearing much more about this in the coming days and weeks

What have I missed.
"The annual results revealed a headline pre-tax profit of £445m for the 12 months ended 30 September, a notable improvement on the £178m loss reported the previous year.
This was towards the lower end of the management’s projected profit range of £440m-£460m"

Didn't they report £455m to the upper end of guidance.

"Flights to Israel and Jordan are currently on hold due to the Gaza conflict. The longer the war goes on, the bigger the damage will be to easyJet’s business"
Simply not true. The damage comes because it was a sudden event. Tickets booked have to be addressed and compensated, staff positioned paid but unproductive. Aircraft scheduled but not used. Here we are well into the normality of Israel invading Gaza so none of the above will be a factor now.Just lost revenue from a route which may not have been profitable this time of year.

It's also worth noting that Q1 loss doesn't need to improve for 2024 to be a massive profit year. It's all about Easter onwards.

Ryanair opening Norwich flights from April 1. Easyjet at Birmingham, lots of Southend rumours. Many won't make a long and expensive journey to a hub. The regionals win huge catchment of people willing to pay a bit more to depart locally. Perfect for the expat migration routes. Malta, Málaga, Alicante. Easyjet need to accelerate their diversity.

Of course this shift in fortunes plays right into easyJet hands.

I agree that the UK has undergone or undergoing an economic shift in fortunes. I see it in the UK guests we have in our hotels. Very few in premium locations. 3 star is the biggest for UK. In fact our cheaper locations are generally where you'll find the Brits and some Germans.
The UK has got it wrong really since the ridiculous Brexit vote that has just limited the freedom of British citizens in Europe and the ability of the UK to export people they don't want around Europe.
This has affected me personally having to acquire a visa to live and work in Spain when I have been resident in Europe for 15 years all because I have a British passport.

There are never any guarantees. If you are looking for guarantees then you shouldn't buy shares in anything.
The measure of opinion is what will drive the share price. Fortunately not everyone realises what's happening at the same time. Some require reassurance that what they think will be supported. That reassurance is largely gained from the chart which looks strong. Other avenues like company progress announcements and broker guesses all contribute to the process. However the thought that others agree is the primary driver for small investors.
An opportunity is worth nothing is nobody else sees it coming.
I believe that the realisation will be in the spring and this could get very sporty in the summer.

Yeh no doubt but just because it shoud be higher,no guarantee it will. Let's hope it does a Rolls Royce! UK markets chock o block full of ridiculously cheap shares at the moment. Just bonkers but shows what a basket place this country is becoming.
