So 12th Oct we get the full year trading update. Hopefully the share price continues to rise as we get to the 12th. Question is whether to sell just before the update or not?

I'll take £10 a share by Oct and rotate back into Rolls-Royce in a breath, but seriously, what are your predictions worth?

datait, no I haven't made anything buying Easyjet at 4.41 but I will, my Rolls-Royce at 89.77 are rewarding me nicely though holding 335500.

buoycat, well I thought Rolls-Royce had bottomed out at 70p, so bought a shed load.
Admittedly they dropped to 65p and are now £2 24 and USB tipping them for £6.
So whilst not exactly bottomed when I bought I did think thay could only ho up and now a few investment houses like JPMORGAN, USB, Barclays et al think the same and are now advising their clients to buy.
Why are super intelligent, well remunerated analysts invariably late to the party?
Why didn't they put out recommendations at 70p, or am I just lucky and my analysis of the company was just lucky?

The thing about stock markets is that you never 'know' when a stock has bottomed out. Or that it can only go up from here. If you did, you'd be very rich!

datait, you need to work on your maths mate.
335,000 shares at £2.25 isn't £150.000.
Why sell easyjet when you know it's bottomed and can only go up?
Are you simply a day trader?

Cev so you holding £150,000 in rolls royce not bad at all. I bought £70,000 today for a trade but sadly never moved. Sold out of EasyJet hoping they would fall back 😂 never mind tomorrow another day.

datatit, actually the next results update is 12th November and actual results 29th.
You asked if i was happy buying Easyjet at 4.41, yes but my Rolls-Royce are going stronger than I imagined so disappointed I sold £120k at 1.81 to buy Easyjet.
I'm still holding 335000 Rolls-Royce shares so I can't complain
