datait, thanks for the explanation that day trading is more of a gamble lol.
I don't gamble, I analyse, try to find undervalued companies and invest long term.
How anyone can spot daily trends off charts, tea leaves or gut instincts is simply beyond me and I've been investing for over 40 years.

Daily predictions are all hope 😆 like to hold bust also like a nice trade, trading is more of a gamble.

datait, I'm seriously surprised you exited Rolls-Royce 100%.
Surely, a holding in both would be more prudent.
JPM have just upgraded Rolls-Royce from Berry's 90p grading to £2.25.
That's a huge upgrade in anybody's language, hopefully Berry received his P45.
I'm happy holding both but I'm not as confident as you are on daily predictions.

Nothing wrong with predictions, to me its a hobby, never going to get it right all the time to me this is a hobby. In times an expensive on but also very lucrative one.

Im out of RR. for now hoping for a pull back but not expecting that to go my way lol but never mind I have still done well out of them.

EZJ should hopefully do very well for me too.

datait, having seen you constantly post on the Rolls-Royce thread, are you completely out of there shares now?
I sold £120k of Rolls-Royce at £1.82p and bought Easyjet at £4.41.
Still got over 300,000 Rolls-Royce though.
What causes me concern is that your Rolls-Royce predictions were always wrong.
I buy Easyjet and here you are now predicting again.

The boom in holiday travel shows no signs of ending, German airline group Lufthansa LHAG.DE said on Thursday, as advance bookings for this winter and next year were already a double-digit percentage above the year-earlier level.

The outlook will underscore optimism in the tourism and airline sector that the recovery in demand that started last year after COVID-19 lockdowns may be more permanent, as people splurge on experiences rather than goods.

"Demand will remain exceptionally strong for the foreseeable future," Lufthansa Chief Executive Carsten Spohr told journalists during a conference call as the group published better-than-expected quarterly profits.

Concerns have grown that the surge in demand - and resulting strong earnings - could lose momentum in the autumn season as high inflation starts to squeeze passenger spending.

Lufthansa is not seeing any slowdown, Spohr said. Bookings for the third quarter and the rest of the year exceed 90% of the pre-pandemic level at Lufthansa, with the summer season extending into October.

On page 23 of today’s Telegraph , the Questor section devotes nine inches of column space to EasyJet , and rates it as a “ hold “ , but also comments “ Earnings forecasts for next year have increased by 45% since March yet its share price has been flat “ .

Looks like Ryanair have a problem with plane deliveries, opportunity for the competition to step in.
If you listen to what was said Ryanair don't have visibility over the winter period but no different from other years so pure speculation about demand.
Easyjet have good visibility and business is booming.

European airlines fall after Ryanair CEO's comments on downbeat bookings forecast for second half of year
* "We're concerned about the impact of these macroeconomic trends. Consumer price inflation, higher interest rates, higher mortgage rates might affect consumer spending in the second half of the year," O'Leary said in an analyst presentation on Monday
* Air France KLM shares fall 1.2%, while Lufthansa is down 1.3%
* Finland's Finnair dips 3.7% and Norwegian Air slips 1.5%; Sweden's SAS is up 1.2%
* London-listed Easyjet loses 4.5%, with Wizz Air Holdings and International Consolidated Airlines Group also down 5.2% and 3.6% respectively
* After reporting Q1 results, Ryanair shares drop 4.7% due to a two-month delay of new aircraft deliveries from Boeing, which were expected in April 2024

Easyjet is giving people the option to change flights and cancelling until the end of the month. Seems reasonable to me.

Laying on repatriation flights but still taking people there.
If they cancel it’s their problem. If easy jet cancel they’ll have to refund them.
Shameful profiteering behaviour.
