18/1/2005 19:36 | Woodsman, thanks for the interesting post above. I remember SCI and their share price soared i believe! | ![]() gswredland
18/1/2005 17:18 | Bingo, might have missed the PFD boat a bit given rencent rises however, I like their strategy of buying "old favorites" e.g. Birds custard that are not considerd exciting anymore. Come a recession/downturn, people may not dine out at Conran restaurants, but everone will still bring out the Branston even if they can only afford a lump of cheese for their dinner! | woodsman2004
18/1/2005 12:46 | Premier foods heh, might have a look at that. | ![]() bingobingy
17/1/2005 20:13 | Yep, I like this share. Not too sue whether it's worth the current price, but I suppose people are buying for the 'safety' of the business. This is one I will hold you sometime to come....one to tuck away. Hopefully we'll have a progressive divi increase too. I will be topping up on any dips. | ![]() bingobingy
17/1/2005 16:17 | At last it has moved today. One trade of 6000 shares was all it took. | ![]() superdealer
15/1/2005 21:53 | Is this the perfect stock? In at 235. Every time it breaks out I move my trailing stop up then it breaks out again. If only all trading were this simple. | bikert
15/1/2005 11:32 | The dividend is I think only around 1.8% based on prospectus. The fund managers love it because it is unique and the sector. Only question mark is whether profits justify pricing...logic of prperty and BP and superb investments but everything has a price | ![]() mryesyes
15/1/2005 06:25 | Does anyone know the ex. dividend date and yield? thanks. OT. | old twit
14/1/2005 14:54 | Topped up today. | ![]() chester
11/1/2005 14:23 | If it closes at a new high today, I reckon I might up my stake. Each previous breakout has been well worth having. | m.t.glass
11/1/2005 13:21 | Just keeps ticking away nicely..... | ![]() chester
08/1/2005 00:52 | The important thing to remember with this stock is that 2004 has been a TERRIBLE! year - the death rate is down a huge 3.5%. Since sales only get deferred, never canceled, 2005 is unfortunately, inevitably, going to be a very strong year. All credit to excellent management for getting a meteoric rise in the share despite an incredibly difficult year for them. An absolutely top notch stock which will just keep on going up. And if the stock market blows up, every fund manager forced to invest the whole portfolio will be dying (sorry) to get his hands on Dignity. | domyoung99
06/1/2005 12:33 | sold my holding today at 323p,to have funds to buy morrisons which i believe will have a good xmas trading update, due out in around a week.I believe dty is a good share but theres more short term upside to morrisons.time will tell. All in my opinion.regards blowson 2000. | blowson2000
29/12/2004 20:41 | have a feeling something is going on.... | ![]() gswredland
29/12/2004 19:54 | Price hasnt moved much though. | blowson2000
29/12/2004 15:25 | There's been quite a rush of buys in the past hour. Dunno why.. (tipped as a favourite for 2005 someplace perhaps? | m.t.glass
16/12/2004 23:49 | seems to me that (more)institutions starting to buy in would be the reason for the recent moves north? | ![]() melody9999

16/12/2004 12:46 | Woodsman, you'll be sitting on a tidy profit then. I really like this company. Anyone had a look at ZOO? I've held this share for a while now and it looks like it's going to start moving at last. Get in before it's to late! | ![]() bingobingy
16/12/2004 10:58 | I think a shareholder might qualify for a discount when he's under 6 foot! | wonderboy
16/12/2004 10:39 | Pleased to be in since floatation - I am a bear about the economy so this fitted the bill as a perfect counter-recessionary stock (see also Premier Foods). No idea what all these announcements about holdings are. Can anyone explain this and why it has boosted the share price? BTW my grandad asked me last week whether shareholders get a discount!!! | woodsman2004
15/12/2004 12:21 | Not a clue, but death is the business to be in. The good news being that everyone has to die whether or not there is a recession. I might up my stake, but not at the current price. | ![]() bingobingy
15/12/2004 10:11 | looking very good i would agree.anyone know what is happening? | ![]() gswredland
15/12/2004 08:35 | On a bit of a roll. Stepped up my stake. | m.t.glass |
