Sad news about Ford at Bridgend to close but its been on the cards for a while and the car industry a mess. Half a million manufacturing jobs gone the last decade its not just retail struggling.

Though not directly related Carney warned that millions of jobs would be lost through robots.

Sadly the UK not productive enough compared to Europe and the US.

There are jobs elsewhere in the care industry and teachers and nurses people will have to retrain, this is the modern world a particular job is no longer permanent.

These things may be hard to accept but they have to happen its evolution.

You two are funny I had thought you would have joined my new thread. I wont be giving up on the thread despite no one posting sooner or later some will see the light.

My Marks thread neither bullish nor bearish to be honest I have mixed feelings on Marks and so does the market in general. My thread is also a topical thread on the market in general but particularly anything retail related.

On other matters I predict most economies set to decrease interest rates dark clouds gathering.

Marks will not be immune to a market sell off but Marks will survive imo there are worse retailers out there.

The valuation is however a different matter.

Qantas ,I dont know how true this is ,but someone has said Donald Trump told someone at the dinner at the Buckingham Palace ,that he would buy out Debenhams.
He would get one of his family to run the business and make it the best company in the world .
