That did cross my mind but I don't think the fed actually prints more bank notes . They won't physically print 600bn in notes they just create it electronically to transfer to others bank accounts etc.

I read a article in Tuesday's times which said they were not winning contracts, and were planning redundancies. It all sounded pretty bleak so I sold this morning.

I sold out the other day at 644, I think share price will weaken towards the results.Todays' action is maybe just a taster of things to come - watching with interest.

Just read the article in the Times - grim indeed! But as you say, does not seem to have panicked the big boys.... yet. If they announce the loss of the India contract could crash - again.

There is an article in todays Times - cannot post link

It is very negative - an "insider" says DLAR have won no orders since the incident and are pulping paper and about to lay off staff. Also rivals are pitching strongly for the Indian order.

I think the market is not taking the rumour to seriously

No position here

May be someone knows something about the possible loss of a major contract. They could come out with this statement when the results are due.Does anyone know when the results are out?

bit surprised at the drop this morning, and too slow to pick up some more in the 620s
I dont think anyone can say with the degree of certainty where the share price will go before it bounces, it could be 540, my gut feel is that it will not go below 600 but who knows, bought in at 645 and await the results and hopefully rebound

Being an ADVFN client, you will have available to you the daily Hotline and the daily breakout reports from ii.

Accoring to this, on the 12 August 2010, ii called this share a bear to 540p.

The signal price was 780p, with a stop loss of 810p, when the share closed at the end of that day @711.5p.

Make what you like of it, but I am waiting for this to hit 540p.

At the same time VectorVest, whose reports are all over the ADVFN web, values the shares at 914.77p & they say that eventually the share price tends to reflect true value.

The world's biggest banknote printer, De la Rue, is expected to reveal the results of an internal inquiry into 'falsified documents' when it announces interim profits on 23 November.

Just bought in a 645, just biding its time before recovery, I think! Good divi to collect while waiting

I suspect if they lose the major contract then not only is that 25% of the business gone but it will also have major implications for the rest of the business and holding onto that work for the future. For that reason this contract will be so important to retain that I suspect it will cost them dearly to hold on to it if you get my drift.

Have been watching this one for a while but unwilling to get in until we see the next major piece of news from the business.
As people allude to, if they lose a major contract then the share price could easily shed another 100-150 and conversly it could gain 100-150 on confirmation that once this exceptional cost has been dealt with, it is back to business as normal.
So, in summary this is really just a gamble from here and I cant afford to take any more bad news this year so I will sit on my hands for a while.

if it is renewed and the divi stays this will put on 100p in about 3 seconds after the announcement. If it isnt then the divi will probably go or get halved possibly and this is what seems to be in the price.

Conversely the contract is renewed and the share price rises, i hold £7k shares---so will watch and wait. Sp could go either way---so! Divies---yes could be cut---so! Imo it's on opportunity---maybe. :)
