11/2/2002 11:50 | picaroon i have not "forgotten to deduct the prior claim of the 6.5% Senior Participating shares" i said danka has £25m of net assets: they do i also said that the net asset position was negative over £100m a year ago - it was the claim on the senior participating shares is clearly shown on the balance sheet but negative Equity shareholders funds of £259m a year ago have now reduced to £141m - this is substantial progress already danka has plenty of scope and time for restructuring its debt as long as it remains profitable this company looked a financial basket case a year ago and the year before that but it looks in much better shape now if they continue to remain profitable at EBITDA level - and the profitability they have achieved has been thanks to a massive improvement in the company's management - then their financial health will continue to improve i for one am happy to see companies succeed in struggling against the odds to survive and i hope danka continue to recover any further improvements in EBITDA profitability will see debt reduce even faster - judging by some of the comments i have seen on the US BB the sales picture is improving photon | ![]() photon

11/2/2002 07:31 | From Yahoo and Raging Bull BB's in US.... Inside Looking Out by: j_a_walton Long-Term Sentiment: Strong Buy 02/10/02 11:49 pm Msg: 21294 of 21294 I happen to be a 22 year employee at Danka. I can tell you from the front line. Everything at Danka is changing. We are geared up to meet new challenges in this fast paced ever changing Hi Tech arena. Everyone I work with is looking to the future. No dead wood around here. We got places to go and things to do. That's more than likely why you don't see to many insiders posting. Recently, a few weeks ago, our local sales team displaced close to 500 Xerox units in one major account. I was expecting to see a P/R, I guess Danka Management has Bigger Fish to fry? Take a few minutes to Explore Danka's new web site. You may like what you see. Nuff said, Keep the Faith Longs, This was a post from Raging Bull kind of reflects my feelings. By: Hawkeiz $$$$$ 09 Feb 2002, 11:58 PM EST Msg. 1080 of 1093 LONGS I have been watching this stock for a long long time and so has BRS I think it would be a good idea to listen to people who know what is going on. Anyone who sold there Danka stock at these levels did not know what they owned. It is that simple, IMO when the stock market goes into full recovery mode Danka will be at the top of the list they have done EVERYTHING they need to do to become profitable and have made a dramatic turnaround. But dont believe me or BRS get off your ### and do some research and you will like what you find, they have cut there work force, they have reorganized there entire part distribution system, they have a new Oracle system that will cut cost and improve customer satifaction, they have sold non profitable parts of the company and used the money to dramatically reduce there debt. All of this and more is all public record. IMO this is money (and alot of it) in the bank. It will take you a long time to find another comany this undervalued staring you in the face. 11/2/2002 00:57 | Your analysis is assuming no further progress from the company and an absence of any good news ie contract wins etc.... The share price is supporting a market cap of £80m which is hardly demanding for a profitable company with a revenue base of £1.1b and in the early stages of a recovery cycle. Also you are forgetting that the US market drives the share where the free float is very small and 10% of which is short. This means any positive news could have a dramatic effect on the price and makes shorting at this level risky to say the least. But I guess that is why you have spent the weekend posting on every bb.... both sides of the atlantic.... | ![]() forfaiter
11/2/2002 00:41 | Paulg8 Yes I am saying that the rise was caused by small uninformed investors, particularly in the US. There may be rallies in the share but the fundamentals provide no support. This share is for gamblers only. A rise in the price depends on there being more and more punters to buy shares at ever higher prices. Eventually the supply of uninformed punters will run out. There may be scope for the professional, but opportunities will arise from a knowledge of crowd psychology and greed and fear in the stockmarket. | ![]() picaroon
10/2/2002 23:11 | It may sound silly, but have you thought that possibly dnk shares advanced rapidly due to some podssible take-over rumours that now are history. Note that the directors said that there was no justification of the recent share rise...don,t know but it looks very volatile...I bought some at 45p a couple of weeks ago...if it keeps going 17% everyday between 15-15:30 I'll stop buying shares and go back to football bets! | ![]() panagos |
