Removal of CEO Niels Wage - Positive Development "Appointment of Executive Chairman and restructure of Board and Executive Danakali Limited (ASX: DNK) (Danakali, or the Company) announces the following management changes: • Current Non-Executive Chairman, Mr Seamus Cornelius, has been re-appointed as Executive Chairman • The role of current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr Niels Wage has been made redundant as part of a reallocation of responsibilities • Basic board fee to be reduced by 33% immediately for all board members and board size to be reduced at AGM in Q2 2021" In my opinion, the removal of the CEO NW as incredibly positive development, and I understand that this has in part been driven by new activist shareholders who took out a large block of shares the seller who has been depressing the stock price for the best part of a year. I understand that the new shareholder group are very keen to drive forward the world class Colluli Sulphate of Potash deposit in Eritrea to be developed into a mine. Here is a discussion on the Australian site Hot Copper which gives some context or explanation. hxxps://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-appointment-of-executive-chairman-restructure-of-executive.5931122/?post_id=51388336

Seems to be closing the ASX gap - still 3p to go on the bid to match current 55c ASX bid. https://www.londonstockexchange.com/news-article/DNK/appointment-of-executive-chairman-and-restructure/14879674 Shame that NW had to walk the plank. Clearly DNK has been placed on a diet with the 33% director fee cut and plans to trim down the board. Initially I wondered if it was a sign that they are still struggling with funding... Now I wonder if the decision is prerequisite to progressing talks with interested parties?

Potentially a persistent large seller has been cleared now. Block trade of 7.5m shares may well of cleared the seller out. Company knows of no other reason for the share price movement on the ASX.

Correct, it is in Eritrea, not Ethiopia. I don't recall anything suggesting reliance on cooperation with Ethiopia or any neighbouring country. Definitely a good point to clarify. That said who knows what will kick things off next in the Horn/Red Sea region?

Hasn't the political situation in that region not deteriorated? Although not in Ethiopia (?), does isn't require economic/political cooperation between Ethiopia and Eritrea to get the project moving?

Amazing project just a pity about the location. If you're referring to the geopolitics, yeah that's always a risk in the region. Otherwise it is a fantastic strategic location for distribution into Asia and Europe. I've kept Danakali, or Donna Kelly as I prefer to call it, on watch for quite a while. I kind of pencilled in 2021 as the time to start building some exposure... Time to dust off the research notes.

I bought some on asx, after being put off by the spread here. Luckily only bought a small amount. Can't say that I am overly tempted to average down. Amazing project just a pity about the location.

Chairman's letter - No real encouragement - Trying hard but message received like trying to walk up the down escalator - At the mercy of possible funders - (imo) Now potential meal for a Chinese vulture - Possibly one for Biden to ride to the rescue (imo) to revitalise US interests in the Horn of Africa or Israel (but with their main uS supporter out unlikely) long odds either way - Gamblers only ,,

It is one of the best potash assets out there and at surface. Shame it's not in Australia, say.

6 month breakout DOWN- Looks like a valuable asset but if reasonable funding not available and war on the other side of the border is this now dead (for investment purposes) until meaningful peace terms agreed?

With the first tranche of AFC shares, the market cap is £103m at 32.5p/share Danakali's 50% share of Module 1 NPV after financing - US$242m (10% discount rate) Module 1 payback 3.25 years Danakali's 50% share of Modules 1 & 2 NPV after financing - US$439m (10% discount rate) Looks like they need to find another US$50m to fund Module 1.
