09/2/2002 00:14 | As a long term holder of DNK I have also bought and sold during the recent peaks and troughs. The trend is definitely upwards but I'm looking for a further decline to around 35p offer, at which point I will be buying another load. | bimula
09/2/2002 00:02 | The spread is scandalous. The MMs here should be investigated. Seriously thinking of going to the trouble of opening a dollar account to take advantage of better terms; i.e. narrower spreads, generally lower commissions and no stamp duty - not to say an ability to react quicker to movements in the USA after the markets have closed here. | ![]() votiem

08/2/2002 20:25 | When shares go up by 400% plus in a month there is bound to be profit taking. It happens to every stock. Sometimes, the shares go all the way back to what they originally were ! With Danka, the company is in the process of turning around. They are doing a great job and time will show this. As I have said previously, don't put all your money in and buy at one price. Now is the time to buy some more shares and if they go down even further you should buy again. Eventually when the price rises, and it will because you have done your research, you can then sell the higher priced shares you bought and still bank a profit. Shares are for the long term. Its great when they shoot up after just after buying them but your timing and luck really have to be with you. Don't panic, the directors have just bought again and this will be a success story with a much higher price. Get drunk and have a good weekend. | tts
08/2/2002 17:38 | Is it or is not true that Danka have stated that they will not be declaring a dividend in the foreseeable future? When are the full year results out? | ![]() mooch
08/2/2002 17:02 | This was a 50% retracement of the rise since early January - or am I wrong? | fotheringham
08/2/2002 16:59 | The recovery story won't make the press until the full year results are out, patience is required. | ![]() zulu001
08/2/2002 16:55 | (Placing hand on shoulder) There are going to be better days ahead, Tinpan. Today stunk, didn't it? I'm beginning to feel that passing over Centamin Egypt, which is milking the pharaonic mines in the eastern desert of Egypt for excess ore, as too speculative, in favour of one more dive into the known waters of the Danky cesspool may have been a serious mistake. | johnnyamerica
08/2/2002 16:53 | jIMMY, mY APOLOGIES, BUT DON'T HAVE TIME TO READ ALL POSTS, but why call me a deramper then. When it's clear I'm not as I've traded this stock since it was £3.50 a share, Don't ask how many years ago that was. I also don't deramp as I don't have the facility to short. | ![]() cinoib
08/2/2002 16:48 | I bought into DNK the other day (small amount fortunately) and have watched the share price almost halve. Bad move methinks. Haven't even got the satisfaction of saying you can't win them all - MONI (and I'm not talking pennies here!!!)looms over me like a financial sword of damaclese (spelling?). Please someone, tell me there are going to be better days ahead for DNK. | tinpan
08/2/2002 16:46 | Erdmanski - well done on the 50%, perhaps you could share some of your stock picks??? In exchange, I can tell you that Cheetah3 in Atlanta is an infinately better 'dancing' club than Stringfellows! So I'm told ;)) | webley
08/2/2002 16:35 | Webley - This period has been less than successful week for some of the institutional traders, don't expect them to pay for anything;) As a matter of fact, some of the guys have probably seen their christmas bonus wanish... This week's trading has now come to an end, and I'm happy to have gotten away with a 5% loss in total (+50% since two weeks ago). | erdmanski
08/2/2002 16:30 | Erdmanski - tell the blokes on the door you know my son. His friend is well known and they always walk straight past the queue and are directed straight in. Perhaps you can get your friends to buy you a drink with all the money they've made from us in the last week! | webley
08/2/2002 16:26 | 44000 is a very strange number a shares to buy/sell so I presume it's the same person. Congratulations. | webley
08/2/2002 16:20 | forfaiter, thanks for not taking my remarks the wrong way. I do hope you are right. I'm fairly new to this game and have already decided that I need to learn more about TA - if only to stop me from sitting infront of a screen and worrying. Still it's Friday and that means the pub - I need it! | webley
08/2/2002 16:16 | Webley...true.. But if the price consolidates at this level then it will be well placed for a move northwards which will easily pass the recent highs.. The last time I held the share several years ago I bought at this level and it moved to £2 quite rapidly... | ![]() forfaiter
