11/10/2002 09:31 | Guess we're seeing gap up.Above 32p and watching for 38p and break up above 40p and if market continues to rally who knows can't even rule out 50p.Will we test lows of 22p/24p again who knows.AGM to look forward to but will results disappoint?imho, dyor | ![]() lex1000
11/10/2002 09:25 | blockbuy, Balfour Beatty (BBY)similar "share case scenario" to DNK sold down from a great height and simply due a bounce. As phook posted sellers drying up.Bear and highly volatile markets create buying opportunities to trade the swings.Get timing right = profit and get timing wrong=loss. dnk/danky is in the hands of both MMs & traders and therefore swing trades. No idea what the bloody things worth short term.Best guess could trade as low as 17p to high of 50p.For sure extroadinary swings and potential gains as has been proven all the way up to 86p.Share of extremes. Broker BG buy recommendation looks ahead longer term commenting that danka undervalued in terms of its rivals. Sense momentum now with the stock. The excitement now is will it go 38p then 38p+ breaking above 40p? One thing in life is guaranteed,dnk/danky is bloody volatile full of ups and downs, profits and losses. Those more expert than me can comment on the technicals. This share trades.Driven equally by greed and fear.I feel that in greed/fear posting, call it positive/negative, or bull/bear if you like can confuse the punters at critical moments.selling and not buying at these key times may result in loss of money real or paper. I've commented like many others saw down said so but then saw up said so and bloody up dnk going.32p/34.5p as post reply button pressed.imho,dyor. | ![]() lex1000

11/10/2002 09:04 | Phook What impressed me was that prices maintained in the last few hours on low volumes. IMHO the buying pressure will be maintained today :0) | serious punter
11/10/2002 08:48 | SP similar stance to me. The latest fall in Danka is something akinned to a 'must do' thing, in the sense that it had to be done and got out of the way so that we could move onwards (eg completing the bearish chart formation). Hopefuly, from now on, we can move gradually onwards and upwards. Fingers crossed that we can close above $2 today in the US. | phook inell
11/10/2002 08:44 | Phook Yes sold some to buy lower, but I have quite a few at an average of 40.5 tucked way for the long term - 12/18 months. | serious punter

11/10/2002 08:36 | Phook - Thanx - Here's the full version Thursday 10th October In an update to previously published research Evolution Beeson Gregory reiterate their BUY recommendation.... "the extension of the banking facility by two years has rid the group of the possibility of refinancing risk again looming as an issue over the share price. With access to bank lending increasingly restricted and the high yield market effectively closed....we believe that the decision to stay with the existing banking group was the appropriate course of action despite the increased funding cost. ....this action shows the lessons of the past have been well learned...as the group has effectively bought time to review alternative financing routes." "Although the FX movement and finance costs weigh on current year earnings, the underlying operating performance underpins our confidence in the group's ability to deliver an operating margin approaching 10% in the medium term." "Valuation does not reflect the potential solidity of the group. The group's putting in place funding for the next 3.5 years underlines the progress that has been made since the financial crisis of early 2001. We argue that the rapidly improving operating performance and financial certainty warrant the share price closing the 60% EV/Revenue discount to its nearest comparable(Ikon) and we reiterate our buy recommendation." | serious punter
11/10/2002 08:30 | found it : Danka Business Systems added 4p to 30p, helped by the publication of a positive note from Evolution Beeson Gregory. The recently-merged broker reiterated its 'buy' stance on Danka. | phook inell

11/10/2002 08:24 | Phook, I got in on the old adage, things don't rise or fall in a straight line. Also it's been uncannyly following the LHS of the chart on top of thread for the last 3 days. Simple pattern. | ![]() blockbuy

11/10/2002 08:19 | anybody noticed that in the 20's (25p to 28p), the selling had almost dried up ? that was one of my reasons I bought in at 25p. What then really convinced me to buy was half an hour before i bought I phoned Danka to see why the price had droppe, and they said there was no reason for the price fall. That tipped the balance and I bought. I then got a call later on in the day from the company secretary's assistant and she confirmed from the CS that there was no business reason for the share price dropping. They evan contacted their brokers (isnt that nice of them).. and they said it was a sector thing, all the stocks in the sector was being hit and Danka was dragged down with them. | phook inell
11/10/2002 08:15 | Nothing delayed yet I think Lex, all ticking up on actuals at the mo (we'll see in an hour though). Yes the second MM buy looks great. Only 3 left now at 33p | ![]() blockbuy |
