From what price ?....personally I would like to see the next results and the earnings ...the lack of new refi was a disappointment......and the new strategy carries all the risks of any untried venture.......so it certainly needs watching...

I really do just trade the chart on this one...it has had so many false dawns........ask oakyhead regarding the Balance sheet......he seems concerned over the NAV.?....

Oaks, you could be in luck with your meaningful finish above $1.60.

Expect a rise in the UK early doors on the back of this, possible break through of 30p if enough interest (usual story)

Sold to early ...only made just over 200%...mad share...LOL

DNK needs to break the long term resistence/support at 28p....to be a technical buy otherwise it could just be a technical bounce from an oversold position....

pany danky longs.if you focus just on danka plc's sector you will notice a bloodletting of sorts taking place.better to get it out all now than to be shorted and bled to death,will make it technically easier to rebound,at least short term with institutional support and short covering taking place simultaneously.

if you were attentive this morning and followed our strategy you should be up around 10% on the day.i told you my clique was ready to support you longs in your time of need,we do consider danky to be at fair value or slightly below with strong support at 1.40 level.a buy at this level is highly recommended.i never issue a buy signal unless i'm very sure of my position danky longs.this is the time when your faith is and will be put to the test.do you have what it takes?

For the shake of you who bought at 25p+ this afternoon & kept until closing hours, I wish Danky will be closed over $1.60 because closing under $1.50 won't be good as it reflects:
1. Not many people yet interested to buy over $1.50
2. The selling pressure is not diminishing yet (so far I can still see it).

Please check the late trading data:
There two transaction for the same volume of 25,000. Is that from the same person who bought at 24p and then sold straight away at 25.5p for a profit of 1.5p per share?

WRONG MATE,
The law of investment says that:
"Buy before institutions start joining in & get out before they start selling".

Now people will rely on Fidelity to buy DNK in UK but if institutions in US are unloading (or reduce their trading activity) then price of DNK in UK will drop by all means.

Hopefully I am wrong but from the look of trading activity since Danky dropped from $2.50+ (less than two weeks ago) to $1.33 intraday today, I now feel a bit uncomfortable.

Sorry if this could disappoint LONG, but closing price later tonight could tell which theory is true. Please watch the support-price that will be set up in few days.

yep, bailed out last week above my original buying price (phew) and got 21k this afternoon at 26p.
If I had got home 10 mins earlier I would have got 24p. Never mind eh?

Based on the runup last june/july for last quarters results, the 40's are in my sights.

With a turn around or neutarlisation of current sentiment, then who knows eh?

Phook & Lex. Thanks very much for your answers 9142 and 9145. I've been in the markets since earlier this year but so far only lost money (after taking a massive knock last year in technology unit trusts!!). Hohum - will take it on the chin. Probably get back into DNK if it goes a little lower then hold for long term.

yes it would take me to results. But I am intending to hold on if the price comfortably goes over 32p. funny as the 30,000 isnt flagged with a "C". Just checked my online account.... my trade settles on 5/11/02. Wondering why it wasnt flagged as "C".

By the way, did you buy this afternoon.

Also, that gulfofmexico guy on Yahoo called it spot on, he predicted an initial fall till 11:30am (US time) and then a pick up. He was suggesting he may even go long.

hey surprise surprise.

Danka phoned me back a few minutes ago... spoke to a very nice lady. She confirmed that the share price drop has nothing to do with Danka - business is as normal. She contacted the brokers and they confirmed that its a sector thing and mainly US influence. But nothing "sinister" (her words) happening at Danka that would affect the share price - just market forces at work.

This is one of the main reasons why Danky has been dropping. I guess not only Merill but few more institutions reduce their trading in Nasdaq until they see corporate's spending for tech pick up again.

Danky went up from $1 to $5 becuase of institutions' buying but without their contribution to further trade I think a bit difficult to expect huge gains pretty soon.

I personally will reduce my short term price target. Good luck.

Mooch,

I don't know how long you've been in the markets.Most of us if we're honest have been there.Always difficult calling bottom and can psyche you out watching red screens daily.I've lost money on danka but higher up.Danky possibly due a bounce,however,may go lower.Over what time span no-one can predict.Please treat as part of a learning curve,grow with confidence and experience.

Phook, out of interest, does your t20 take you to results day?

If so I'm sure many more will be opening in the next day or so. imo you may have picked yourself a winner there, especially with the US now back above $1.50

My honest opinion is, yes. Danka are still executing their devised plan. I believe 2 years of it is still left. In between this duration the share price will girate wildly. I am not a trader by instinct (although will buy / sell when I see the opportunity). Danka, I have bought with long term in mind but must be prepared for ups and downs. I would advise listening to the many good people on here - they have some very good insight on Danka's share price movement. If you are in for the long term, dont sit at the screen minute by minute, this gives you the jitters. Buy some and tuck them away... obviously dont buy with money you cant afford to lose, as with all stock purchases.

Phook - I'm so rubbish at this I sold all DNK this morning now it seems I bottled at the bottom. Do you think in the long term (30 months) DNK can get passed 50 p again?

thanks. i will top as and when necessary. I am putting these away for the long term - current morbid situation in the markets gives very good opportunities of picking up stocks that have been overly battered. Its just buying and sitting it out. When I say long term... I am talking about 18 to 30 months. There are some excellent quality stocks out there even many yielding over 6%.
