Tight control on shares this p.m ,limited to buy of 1K shares;over that and brokers had to go to "market" i.e mms.If there is sustained buying next week,and I think there will be,then the mms must be short of stock and in those circumstances the share price can only go northwards.First target price of 60p easily achievable methinks.Danka/Danky confirmed as a great recovery play.imho,dyor.

someone mentioned that most of the Danka stock is in ADRs. Anybody know what percentage of shares issued is in ADRs and what is ordinary ?

psychicdoc, yes,expecting results next week, I got caught on the hop and had to pay a premium share price.Too far back to look now,however,according to my notes an earlier post predicted share price "of up" to 67p/70 on good results.

Agree early release of results is an excellent sign for shareholders and does indeed bode well for next week.

superpete results have been totally unexpected on a friday afternoon they were least expected but if they are good why not release them earlier, the city boys do like to take it easy fri lunchtime even ff is having a swig i reckon,and once they are digested we shall see steady movement northwards next week, imo

Has anyone noticed in the UKREG announcment that Danka must be psychic!!!


              - Strong cash flow used to continue debt reduction - Danka Business Systems PLC today announced its first quarter results for thethree months ended 30th June, 2002 that show increased operating profits fromcontinuing operations, continued strong cash flow and significant debtreduction. Danka also announced that it has scheduled a conference call forTuesday, 13th August to discuss these results. The Group reported operating profits of #10.2 million for the first quarter ofthe year ending 31st March, 2003 as compared to an operating profit fromcontinuing operations of #6.1 million for the first quarter of the year ended31st March, 2002. The prior year's first quarter earnings included anexceptional charge related to restructuring of #0.3 million. Excluding thisexceptional item, the operating profit from continuing operations was #6.4million for the prior year first quarter.
