Interesting; but posts 2861, 2865 & 2875 on this chat all suggest 2 x 0.5p dividends due in close succession.

05/10 RNS "An interim dividend of 0.5p per share was paid on 28 May 2021 and a further 0.5p per share is proposed to be paid on 30 November 2021, making a full year dividend of 1p per share."
"A final dividend is proposed of 0.5 pence per share with an ex-dividend date of 11 November 2021 and a record date of 12 November 2021. This final dividend will be paid on 30 November 2021"

27/10 RNS "In order that our shareholders can share in this improvement your Board has declared an interim dividend of 0.5 pence per share with an ex-dividend date of 11 November 2021 and record date of 12 November 2021. This interim dividend will be paid on 3 December 2021"

Same dividend just wrong wording in the 27/10 AGM statement and a slight adjustment to the payment date. You only get one interim in a year and a final, for there to be three dividend payments it would be an interim, a final and a special.

I have now just sent HL a message asking about it.

As I understand it, there are meant to be two dividend payments: 0.5p with an official pay date of Tues 30/11/21, and 0.5p with an official pay date of Fri 03/12/21.

What 2nd payment? There's only one 0.5p dividend.

That's really poor. The second payment came through AJ Bell on Monday, so I guess that HL must simply be hanging on to your money!

Thanks all. I'm with HL too. I got the 1st payment on Fri 03/12, making me think that HL may have missed my Tues 30/11 payment. But now I gather that the Fri 03/12-received amount most likely is itself the Tues 30/11 payment, received on a t+3 basis. So hopefully at some point today (Wed 08/12) I will receive the Fri 03/12 payment on a t+3 basis (but it is not the case yet).

In October the company issued a RNS which I quote as follows:

"This is in spite of a disappointing contribution from Global One Pak Ltd. This is primarily due to logistic cost increases relating to our Chinese trading compounded by the continuing ill health of the managing director. Your Board have taken immediate steps to address both issues however trading conditions, especially with the Far East, remain problematic. The Board believe this is expected to present better opportunities to on shore manufacture and we are well set to benefit from such."

Now it suggested to me that they had a company in the pipeline ready to purchase.

Now they have the cash in the kitty, how long will it take before we get further news on the subject. Will it be early in the new year, or has it all gone dead?

Same here - HL paid the first one on working day #3 so if that is repeated will get it today.

They are not the most timely of payers generally.

Good move.Companie with real sales, real earnings and dividend paying will accrue value as inflation rises killing speculative stocks.
Having a substantial cash balance won't hurt.

RST2020,

I understand your question now. I just received an unexpected (by me) additional set of 0.5p dividends.

Early days but if we remain profitable, debt free ,cash rich & can acquire a couple of small profitable bolt ons ,resulting in a sustainable/increasing dividend, anyone buying now at 16p (ish) is receiving a yield of over 6% (& growing)with a reasonable chance of capital growth as our strategy is vindicated by improved performance there remains the possibility that we will be disposed of as an entity,at some future point, providing an exit for JG & other PDMRs-should they want it .

The broker forecast assumes that last year's interim dividend was, effectively, a deferred payment of the previous year's final dividend. They have no interim dividend going forward and a final of 0.55p forecast for this year-end.

The prevailing expectation on here, however, is for an interim and a final payment totalling 1p+.

Please can someone explain CRU's dividends to me - which payments should we expect & when? I received 0.5 pence per share today. I believe there is meant to be an interim & a final dividend, perhaps each of 0.5 pence? And so is there is another 0.5 pence per share dividend to be paid on some other date in the near future? Thanks in advance to anyone who can clarify for me. GLA
