According to forecasts profits are already sufficient to cover divs leaving circa £8 mill, after property sale, cash to reinvest.

Still think Jg knows what he is doing and will be aiming for best all round for his shareholders.Roll on the div, I've got a deposit for a new car to pay for....!

If JG committed to paying 1p per share in dividends I would expect that he would hope to achieve that out of post tax annual profits in order for it to be perceived as sustainable.A special divi may well be paid once the Freehold money comes in or he will make a couple of earnings accretive bolt on acquisitions in order to try yo ensure post tax profits in excess of £800k, & preferably in excess of £1.5mill to give confidence that the divi is sustainable & reserves also growing to support further acquisitions.Alternatively he will look for a much bigger company to reverse into Cru using it as a type of SPAC

GOP only as indicated a temporary setback that is being dealt with.JG unlikely to pay special div but has enough cash to maintain 5/6% payout for foreseeable future.
Or at least his actuarial lifetime.

I do not agree charo but have you factored in the GOP problems.

However unless there is a special dividend when the property completes, then it is going to be a long wait until the next one, as the interim was rushed, for which I can only assume was to try to push the share price up higher.

When is the next deal coming to replace GOP ?

With the still to complete property sale £3.5 Mill cash plus earning in first half plus remaining cash from sale of Haydock operations.
Even allowing for £800 k of divs cash by December will be circa £8mill.

Well done charo but at present you cannot sell for 15.25p and unless there is news very soon, you may not even be able to sell any volume for 13p.

Bear in mind that took approx £400k (which was accounted for in the last figures) and a further £400k which are not yet disclosed in the figures, out of the cash pile.

Still, JG and the other large holders have at least been rewarded, which I am pleased about, as it has been a while since dividends were paid.

Now are you going to invest back in CRU with the divi on Dec 3rd?

temelco.

The ex-dividend date, otherwise called the ex-date, typically comes one business day ahead of the record date. It marks the day investors need to purchase a stock by if they want to receive a dividend payment. If you don't buy the stock before the ex-dividend date, the dividend will go to the seller.

Yes today’s the day but we look forward to all the facts and results in due course.

" ex-dividend date of 11 November 2021 and record date of 12 November 2021. This interim dividend will be paid on 3 December 2021."

News must be imminent!

Very surprised to see the sellers at 15p before going ex-div on 11.11.2021 still maybe they fear a very big drop.

In fact there maybe a rise with news imo.

Volumes starting to slip and the sellers/traders seem to more or less taken their dividends early.

It will be interesting to see what happens when it goes ex=div if there is no news of any substance by then.

Ticking along nicely, there should be another 10 days of good support for this imo.

Good luck mark. :-)

mark - I am happy with around 12% in under a month. Good Luck but I might buy back in, as I have done over many years - if I or CRU is still around that is - :-)

I wish you all well but I will keep posting, as I like the old fart JG - CRU has been very good to me, only once have I messed up but it came right in the end by buying a pile at around 4.5/5p - with an average of around 9p but selling at around 14.5p

Does that suggest you are exiting now CT, sorry to lose you. But think there is mileage in what charo is pointing at. It makes sense to me. Let me know if you find a better opportunity

charo - I beg to differ, and when the accounts are presented (shortly), I think my assertions will be proved to be correct. Unless you would like to provide me with a spreadsheet that suggests otherwise, I will stick with my numbers and view.

You will recall telling me I was wrong to get out at 14.5p (Div 0.05 at the time)before the last dividend, well not so, not only was I able to invest the money successfully but I was able to buy as many as I wanted at 13.07 - 13.25 on the 5/6 October this year.

I do hope you are correct and the share price does rise but I am happy to leave a profit for someone else, and no I will not kick myself if there is a RTO at 20/22p which I really think might be on the books.
