Far from it hat and charo - I am very confident about CRU but I do like to consider the negatives as well, and based on the amount of selling this morning, I think it was only fair to put my take on the RNS, as a couple of posters had posted very negative comments about the news about Global Pack not being stated previously.

If I did not make that clear and you both misread my posts. I apologise for the misunderstanding.

CT you're way too negative. "substantially ahead of the same period for last year..... This is in spite of a disappointing contribution from Global One Pak Ltd"You do realise there are global supply chain issues impacting everybody. To perform substantially above H1 last year is significant. H1 last year got an extra lift from hand sanitiser dispensers.

To be fair charo the RNS is a bit mixed, and while the first half has been very strong, it does raise concerns BUT the positive is

"The Board believe this is expected to present better opportunities to on shore manufacture and we are well set to benefit from such."

Now that as I mentioned, suggests that we shall very soon see production etc in the UK or EU - Ireland maybe.

Its just a matter of timing.

If there is a planned tack on or RTO coming the BoD will not be now able to buy shares.

With such a good dividend it is win win either way.

There is a big buyer around as I can sell a lot online, so I expect the bounce soon.

Not the best of days to see CRU in the top ten losers list, and not the best of days for JG if he had to face an audience at the AGM.

If there is going to be a RTO which I suspect is the case, as I previously suggested, they will swallow all the sells and pick up as much stock as possible on the cheap, and then we will see a very quick reversal and whoosh back up and beyond.

However the RNS has brought about the selling spree and I am waiting to see where the strong support and bounce will come with a dividend so high.

DYOR.

Agreed CT-as bus problems can be sorted but health not always so straightforward.
Should our share price slip back into its traditional stupor I would expect Directors/PDMRs to add to their holdings. Our 2 successful subsidiaries must have done exceptionally well if ahead of expectations despite the problems at global.

Definitely should have flagged it.

Going to hang on a little longer, but that for me is a thumbs down for transparency of management.

Let our thoughts be with the MD of Global Pack this morning, as to have mentioned this in the RNS suggests the seriousness of his health.

They should have mentioned the problems Global One Pak Ltd are having in the outlook statement in the final results issued 3 weeks ago.

Long term the prospects look good and the shares greatly undervalued.

I think the RNS clearly points to a tack on that replaces the products currently sourced from China.

I guess it is already lined up for November.

So looking good to me.

I thought it was all good, brief to the point and 'in spite' of the difficulties ....which they are taking steps to remedy so likelihood of better still to come. Nice divi too.

A rollercoaster of an RNS there. 'Very strong' and 'substantially ahead' aren't phrases you hear very often. Second half not so nice to read but I suspect we'll be up a bit this morning

Seems as though you were correct charo - a few week holders chipping out near the figure you suggested - soon be kicking themselves imo. MM look happy to swallow them up without a shake even.

Only one MM left on offer at 15.5p now and even without an RTO it should run all the way up until ex-div date 11 Nov 2021. So even at 20p your still looking at 5% return which is a lot more than most and a from a company with a cash pile and more to come. Does not get much better either way imo.

charo - If IPL and subsidiaries were to do a RTO into CRU - I think you will be looking over 20/22.

The way they have been buying up plastic businesses of late, along with the action taken in Canada suggests to me they may well be looking to float it all in the UK, and CRU would make a perfect vehicle imo to do so. Just my guess but it might also account for some of those 1.4m trades several weeks ago.

My money is not only only the dividend but on being blown out the water at a premium before 2022 or very soon into 2022.

Well worth taking a look at the post accounts information available from the link I post below from Companies House.

MM still do not even seem to be getting much joy today, even now they are paying over 14.5p - I wonder if the will get many under 20p even, as the dividend is so attractive.

AGM so maybe something more than all motions passed, with luck but come what may there is a great dividend to look forward too in November.

The late 70k sale shows how much one MM wants the stock, without a flicker on the bid.

MM are managing to pick up a few a just over 14p I notice but not enough to cover buys, hence pushing one MM on nearly every 10k of shares - just three MM now left on offer of 14.5p Roll on next Wednesday and maybe more news.

That would be nice mark, if we get near on 100% increase by Christmas, like last year (which is possible imo) it would put icing on the cake, as I am sure most of us have had a really good year, from Jan to end Sept at least - but it has gone a bit dry since then, however CRU's dividend makes this a very tasty desert.

However, I still think there is a good chance of a RTO at the upper end of the scale. That would be one big tack on. :-)
