strong buying this am. If they sort Basay out this could move very strongly, IMHO and all that.

Well done Mr Elliott

What is interesting with Guy Elliott buying is that he has a good track record and being a non exec bodes well for the corporate action that appears imminent, hopefully ditching Alland will be just the start!

Took 3-4 as as an opportunity to add, high risk I know, but my average has been bought down a little should this spike, I could get out relatively unscathed.Like yourself, Leoneobull, I have been here since the early days, I have traded this so made a decent return to 45p, but then bought back in at 20p and many times down to 7p so currently in loss here. I have lost confidence with the management too. I do however belive the share price will rise slowly over the next 3 months, a closed period before any real news here, to a 5-7 range. Averaging down made sense and confirmed with the recent RNS.

I disagree Duxy at this stage.i'm long haven't sold single share but having seen these charlatans come up with a multitude of positive statements regarding the findings from particular drilling areas then to conclude that the geology doesn't support open mining having earlier been super-bullish and concluded that Basay was a monster they have lost my confidence entirely...

we were told by the financial PR people that there was no way they'd be sitting on their laurels & we'd definitely hear sthng regarding a plan out of the quagmire prior to the license expiring. Hasn't happened*(yet).

i once remember PR being described as 'powder puff journalism'. An apt description!

Perhaps like anyone working for an org that has ageing management bordering on ineffectual he sees his opportunity to seize the reigns & turn this around.

i have seen both in my own business setting & in shares that i own the massive difference decent mment makes...irrespective of seemingly hopeless prospects.

here's hoping it's a good sign that Guy took a decent sized plunge. saying that i remember a director at Rok Property buying shares about two months before the firm collapsed. Then again there could be some shrewd ones left. GLA

why would a director buy 45,000 pounds worth of stock?

always nice to see a director buying shares in the open market:) A 45k investment is not exactly small beer, so good to see.

Personally I am expecting an RNS any day now in regards the status of the Basay license and whether or not it has been renewed.

09 October 2012

...The Company has continued its vigorous defense of its rights to the property based on the legal opinions of two leading Philippine law firms, while the Privatization Management Office has maintained what the Company and its legal counsel believe to be a legally unsubstantiated claim to the property. Whilst an application for renewal of the Basay exploration permit has been made, there is a possibility that the permit, which expires on 1 December 2012, may not be renewed.

Some idle chatter going on about cdc being lined up for a reverse takeover by someone who needs to get their hands on the cash, can you belief anyone would plan such a move!

Speculating is one thing , and thats good, I do it all the time, but finding that CDC have speculated the companies cash into a related party company, ie Crazy horse shiiiit , and that company has run out of cash , then thats not speculating but dodgy dealings!

particularly like this bit....

TCMR: Do you think the copper market is manipulated?

MF: All markets are manipulated. Duh.

TCMR: By whom?

MF: By large speculators with vested interests in that particular market. Get used to it. Learn to live with it. Our task should be to learn to speculate, trade and profit within the paradigms that we are given.
