21/8/2012 07:23 | Copper to rise baby We would take profits on XTA given its outperformance over the last month and reallocate towards miners more focused on iron ore (RIO LN) and copper (ANTO LN) as we expect both metals to move higher in the near termiron ore as it corrects back to cost curve support of $130/t and copper as China's 2H infrastructure spend catch-up drives demand and prices higher. | ![]() leoneobull
21/8/2012 07:19 | falling commodity prices..rising commodity prices..agreed. the bottom line is once the global econ starts to pull out of recession (& the UK and US are already creating jobs) demand for copper continues to grow & production remains flat. Basay is big ---& although some are pulling back on capital investment, there remains high demand. | ![]() leoneobull
21/8/2012 07:13 | i am pleased wth their strategy of ramping up pressure on the PMO. By making a lot of noise about unfair treatment, they could potentially do a lot of damage to the Philippines' inward investment attractiveness....& playing on this could help to get a clear decision quickly given the (seemingly) spurious case put forward by the PMO & the disregard for the facts and sound legal judgement. | ![]() leoneobull
21/8/2012 06:55 | Morning Leoneobull, Humbugg, et al - Hopefully our patience will be rewarded here. Nothing has changed my fundamental view that Basay is going to develop into a world class copper project, recent drill results and news flow from the company are what make me think this. Once/if this issue is successfully resolved with the PMO then the next step is further developing the resource and then bringing in a major. I am thinking that the company will probably delay any news on Basay results until this is all sorted. You have to say the map in yesterdays link looks pretty conclusive. Traders, rampers, derampers & investors...bb arguments and spats...negative and positive news flow from the company...falling commodity prices..rising commodity prices.....no news from the company in months...3 RNS in a week..global market sell offs and dumping of resource stocks...pick up in bombed out resource stocks...ext...it is all par for the course. I try and check my emotions and look at the fundamentals, everything else, in the long run is just noise. Regards, The Count. | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
20/8/2012 20:51 | myself, the count and duxy are not rampers weve been here ages27howard nice to see new faces.... | ![]() leoneobull

20/8/2012 16:15 | The ramping has all gone silent on the other thread, I'd put a fiver on who those sales earlier belonged to :-)) | ![]() 27howard
20/8/2012 14:45 | Leonobull Think you might them soon | ![]() vivgav
20/8/2012 13:53 | Agree 100% wth COUNT that the fall from over 20p to 10p was due to market sentiment and this summers sell off in resource stocks...the fall from 10p down to less than 7p was due to this Basay issue. | ![]() leoneobull
20/8/2012 13:49 | i've got a buy order in for 40000@7.25p u never know. good RNS. that's twice i've emailed mitch & no reply but a positive RNS 2 days later.. | ![]() leoneobull
20/8/2012 12:49 | Thanks duxy786, thats nice of you, I appreciate the above post. The markets can be testing at times, I try and turn off emotions and this has been a very successful tool when it comes to investing. Have a nice week. Regards, The Count P.S. the P & D guys are not all bad because they attract interest and some of that is of the long term value investor type. | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
20/8/2012 12:39 | TCoMC, great news, thanks for forwarding the letter and posting here. After the last dispute with a non-holder/shorter, I give up posting on the BB's. It's become too much of a battle. I have over the last 10 years, submitted countless bugs, advise and info/issues to ADVFN. These people who run the show here seem to have NO CLUE how to deal with the over ramping or deramping of a particular company/SP. Really cant be bothered about the P&D's anymore. My portfolio is looking a little grim on one side and higly positive on another (no P&D as SCLP just mentioned by someone else, but I bought and wrote it off a long time ago, took it out of the back of the draw Friday and sold it this morning for 41p. Some P&D merchant just mentioned he sold for 45p. He didnt, no one did, Bid didnt go to 45p, liar). CDC will come true in the end, I have full confident and will continue buying at these levels as and when funds become available, regardless of the shorts sad comments! Good Luck with your holding mate, Duxy786 | ![]() duxy786
20/8/2012 12:24 | Fine by me, topinfo will vanish soon along with his minions of bitter followers, leaving us long term investors in peace:)) | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
20/8/2012 12:22 | IMHO...the fall from over 20p to 10p was due to market sentiment and this summers sell off in resource stocks...the fall from 10p down to less than 7p was due to this Basay issue. For a view on upside I suggest you check the recent FD note, which can be found on the company website; | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
20/8/2012 12:20 | Count I think any trader trying to make a fast buck here is in for a surprise, there is a big seller, the online price to buy is dropping again, now 7.6p offer for 250k, good luck, I will move on now, expect your new friends from Topinfo thread to vanish as quickly as they arrived :-)) | ![]() 27howard
20/8/2012 12:19 | So if the ruling goes in our favor what upside is possible?? have we fell all the way down here because of this dispute, or market sentiment. | ![]() giantpeach2
20/8/2012 12:16 | I have forwarded this mornings RNS onto the Philippines embassy in London and directly to the UK Ambassador of the Philippines. Following up on my previous emails from the 9th August. I do not expect a response. | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
20/8/2012 12:13 | 27 Howard nice one I paid 23.80 for my SCLP still got them. | headsup1
20/8/2012 12:11 | 27howard - you have made your point, repeatedly, now please give it a rest. The bitter followers that stalk Topinfo end up making themselves look far worse than the very person they are trying to denigrate! | ![]() the count of monte_cristo
20/8/2012 12:06 | Headsup1 It is jealousy apparently :-)) I've just sold this morning some Sclp at 45p that I bought for 11.75p, the point I am making is you should be allowed to express a view about another poster when you know fine well he is doing a pump and dump. | ![]() 27howard
20/8/2012 12:03 | 27Howard do you share a room with VIKTORMEELDREW ? | headsup1
20/8/2012 11:57 | One pump and dumper is comparing this copper play to a cancer play in a attempt to ramp it up, I do not know what is more ludicrous, I guess people from the Topinfo thread will be quoting Scancell for every ramp going for weeks now. | ![]() 27howard
20/8/2012 11:52 | Good to see it moving up. | ![]() someuwin
20/8/2012 11:49 | So did you sell PMK ? | ![]() 27howard |
