June would be a massive slap in the face.

Then again, we are used to it.

If discussions are taking place with a potential buyer the market will require an update of sorts - it is not logical or realistic to have the share price where it is and then an offer come in at a multiple of that? The shares would have to be suspended imo to form an orderly market?
I dont know what is going on although my gut feel is that this may take longer than expected and may not be a clean outright sale.
Not knocking the co for their silence as releasing an rns for the sake of it is pointless anyway. These things always take longer than expected and the current political climate in Nicaragua is not conducive to speeding things up.

No news regarding the land

A couple of provoking questions for thought:

have the Chinese demanded to buy some of calibre assets as a condition to be able to buy us? Calibre has at least two places where they process ore.

If the Chinese cant buy calibre assets, then, would the government continue banning calibre from buying us?

Progress seems very slow and foggy (probably due sanctions and government intervention to try to avoid them) but still there is hope we have good breaking news at some point before end of June

I will be proactive and ask again
Latest news I have I had already posted: miners rejected the offer around 1 week ago
They want la Mestiza ( or a chunk of it) , this was asked years ago and never directly acknowledged by MC. The closest MC went to acknowledge it was when he said that a land swap was necessary

Today I read that Government of Nicaragua has just confiscated another two private universities, including all their assets. This does not inspire confidence to any investor
without land negotiations there will not be mine
Basket case sir
We need land negotiations or we will be taken over by the government meat grinder

Is MC even underwater? I know Jim's now got a significantly low average (I.e. on that would impact any decision making, not in the favour of those that are 45p+)

Book - thanks for the continued updates. It really is make or break at this point. Wish I was watching from the sidelines but as it is I'm on the pitch with mud on my face just hoping for these guys to throw us a bone.

Come on Mark, Jim. Bring it home - you owe it to us.

The money from any sale would surely have to go to shareholders. Otherwise MC and Mellon etc would lose big time.

Sorry, false info about la Mestiza
Cnr has not act on its threat and is allowing miners to keep working on it.
But info about tuners America and avispero appears to be correct

Book, a RNS stating that would only come out once a deal is agreed. There may still be other options on the table like a merge/JV.

It would be nice to have a rns stating where the proceeds will go
1% to dissolve the company
Rest to shareholders

Thanks for the updates.

Of course, we PIs face a double problem
- will the Chinese pay a fair price, and if so
- will Jim Mellon let us have the money, or will he just funnel it into his Diabetic Boot Company or some other doomed punt.

apparently, around 30 to 40 miners working on an area of la india vein that belongs to cnr, only have one week more of permit to mine, no new permits are being issued.

Appreciate the insight book. Fingers crossed. Let's not forget, condor have talked about the importance of ESG and the social licence to operate. I think they have been more than fair so far with allowing the artisanal miners the continue to work up until the very last minute. If your Intel is correct, seems interesting timing to move the miners off the land at a similar time to a site visit from a potential acquirer.

Need to confirm information about what happened in La mestiza, it is a bit far from the village to be sure.
cnr has recently closed the America Túnel and also is going to close the Avispero túnel, So more pressure in the job market.
Cnr should comply with the law and locate an area for artisanal mining
Cnr looks more decided that ever to move away a large portion of the miners, gloves are off

The most significant good news related to land I have heard in a while :

Apparently, yesterday cnr took possession of la Mestiza by removing the miners, the police helped cnr

why do we need that rich land? either for toll mining, to sell it, or to swap it (or part of it)
