It appears everything on funding side in place. Unfortunately when a number of parties are raising funds it has to go through committees and sub-committees so lengthy process. Also I know DB had to explain why Universal deal wasn't right (which it wasn't). I'm guessing the weakness in Chinese yuan probably not helping either. See what quarterly update brings....

if it doesn't happen TODAY that's acceptable (accomodate the moving parts ) , but if doesn't happen , long or short term we will be sitting with a problem . any word on the funding ? given the time frame since Keatons initial cautionary shows their commitment to finalizing this deal

Hi boodge, Mandi Glad, CEO of Keaton suggested the takeover COULD be resolved by the end of the month, i.e. today. Coal said that COULD be the case but there are a lot of moving parts. So there might be a few disappointed if it doesn't happen today but as long term investors here we're used to that. Potentially Chinese New Year might be a part of a delay. And if there was something Keaton may have announced it 15-mins ago at 7 SA time. However I am confident it will be announced soon. So in today's quarterly update I don't expect much apart from discussions are progressing as won't be able to tell the market much.

with the amount of time the majority of us have been here ( collectively the sum of which i am sure dates back prior to the date of the origin of the carbon atom ) the news before the end of January 2017 needs to shoot the lights out to keep us happy and to stay here

I think a lot of people have been caught out and trapped here for years. Who in their right mind would have held knowing we were in for literally years of inaction.
Strikes, railroad failures - we've had it all.

The last year has been the most painful though - like a Chinese water torture of missed promises.

Please DB, for pities sake - get something sorted!

the key to any form of sustainable upward movement in the share price for now, fully and solely in its entirety depends only on an income generating asset acquisition and time , or rather the lack of it is definitely enshrouding CZA
