I find it mildly entertaining and a little bit sad that so many people still harbour a hope that they will see something from their investment.

Just what the financial regulators and corporate governance bodies have been doing that has allowed this saga to drag on for so long

Dim the lights pull the stage curtains and put this sorry company and its investors out of their misery.

Take care

Jacknife seems to be a paid opps from Mooky's camp. Mooky's little cheerleader. Spreading doom and gloom. One of the good things that will come after this is all done and dusted, is that we will not have to read another overly aggressive post from this mental midget, who rode the short bus as a child :-)

If share holders deserve nothing why some of the biggest shareholders are getting a golden handshake?

Bagholders trying to get a ten bagger with a 5p settlement to offset their bruising losses as they chased the falling knife from 100p to 0.5p. Unfortunately for them this is going to zero and they’re throwing good money after bad. Meanwhile Mooky and co walk away with 35 bars. Cut your losses folks - plenty of other opportunities out there to rebuild.

tron343,

I wouldn't think that you would want me to write anything?

1. I've seen that Interpath have apparently been appointed but:

A. There's nothing in the brochure to state that Interpath's adviser is "Daubert-qualified", which was a specific requirement of the court.

B. Interpath don't appear to have done a valuation or indicated their likely valuation range?

C. It's still unclear who is going to pay the apparent $150k fee that the valuation adviser was going to charge?

Regardless, in the last hour or so the motion has been denied:

"This seems to be our last shot and only hope to get shareholders a payment of some sort. It is clear the creditors want the new co private, so they might be strong armed to pay off shareholders. I hope this works."

I still don't think that you appreciate how objectionable your request is? Your company is insolvent, it only continues to survive because the banks have agreed to (a) write off c. $4.5bn of their debt, AND (b) are then pumping $2.2bn of capital into the NewCo. The idea that shareholders "deserve" something in such circumstances is beyond absurd. Shareholders deserve precisely nothing and if I had my way the banks would be coming after each and every one of you for the £2.60 per share that is owed to them!

The banks have written off the equivalent of £2.60 per share and you're whinging about getting another 1p or 5p extra!?!? It's obscene.

livup967 - The shareholder group has met the judge's requirement to supply an independent valuation from a qualified professional asset valuation team in Interpath Limited as per attachment 2 in docket 1899. Interpath have presented valuations to the UK High Court. A request for a Shareholder Committee has been filed with the Texas court and the decision whether or not to allow one now rests with the judge.

If he does allow one Cineworld and the creditors will move quickly to come to an agreement. I also suspect Mookey and Israel are behind the shareholder committee supplying it with vital information and funding for legal representation in the Texas court.

If the committee is allowed, it will be used as a tool to leverage some type of payout to the current shareholders.

Think of it as a payment to make them quiet and go away. Much like they did to Mookie and BOD with the 35 million payout.

does that now mean suspension may not now happen, if the committee is
given the all clear by the judge ?

Please excuse my lack of knowledge on this, but given the shares are going to be wiped out by the administration, why is anyone buying any of these shares at all? Presumably anyone caught holding them when the admin process happens is left with shares worth precisely zero. So why does anyone buy at the moment?

It's wonderful that I can bet against some of the short-sellers who post here. Their cruel mockery of shareholders, extreme greed in holding on for zero instead of covering when CINE is very oversold & their desire to short a stock that declined from 744p to 0.5p assures me that they will drive up CINE as they buy back at a loss to them.

Thanks by the way. :)

It's a big yawn if you ask me. I'll short more at 1.5p.
