20/6/2023 10:44 | Its quiet because all those boasting about their shorts are heading for the exit and too cowardly to come back and admit it. Its also quiet because people who have understood the complexities of this case know the 50% rise is nothing but a false dawn until there is concrete evidence the administration in the UK may not go as smoothly as planned or the judge in Texas allows a Shareholders Committee. | pwhite73
20/6/2023 10:40 | Shorts closing out then suspension | johnjames876
20/6/2023 10:38 | where is all the commentary today on a 50% rise, where is all the links to what could be happen ? why is it so quiet on here ? | livup967
19/6/2023 21:34 | It's best to cover if borrow charges will exceed the returns you will receive when it's zeroed and/or you can redeploy capital at a higher risk adjusted return elsewhere. Borrow charges here are high but not that bad. | loglorry1
19/6/2023 21:17 | I would like to take this opportunity to say a long overdue farewell to the "Mooky Man" fan club aka the biscuit munchers Let me know where you have set up camp and I ll pop in to keep an eye on you now and then It's taken forever but looks like the curtains are being drawn Keep in touch | jubberjim
19/6/2023 19:14 | New here ,don't hold here, but am I thinking this is going to be suspended,if so why is anyone buying, honest answers please. | applied1
19/6/2023 18:03 | Ordinarily you're right; best to cover prior to admin/filing But cine has almost concluded admin; so it won't be a long wait - weeks perhaps months but not years | williamcooper104
19/6/2023 18:02 | Yep, often they close it out on the admin first report to creditors The great thing with cine is suspension happens at/towards the end of C11 rather than at the beginning So unusually this is one I wouldn't mind holding through suspension If I could get some borrow that is | williamcooper104
19/6/2023 13:10 | drush - bla bla bla so I wait a few weeks/months. PWhite - you'd have to tell the FCA that they are wrong then but then again you like teling people they are wrong without much basis so go for it. I hope the bulls bid it up more so I can short more. | loglorry1
19/6/2023 12:08 | loglorry1 - "Shorts don't need to close." Shorts do need to close if there is a problem seeking authority from the UK courts to go into administration. How is it that Mookey can allegedly tell the staff the company is going into administration and allow the shares to continue trading. The FCA alone should have suspended the stock just on Mookey's statement alone and instruct him to make an official announcement to the London Stock Exchange. That there is no suspension announcement or clarification yet is what is worrying the shorts hence the rise. Have they come unstuck in the UK courts as I suggested? | pwhite73
19/6/2023 11:32 | Shorts don't need to close. As soon as it goes into admin and has no value the prime brokers will mark the underlying CFDs to zero and shorts on spreadbets will get paid in full. Those holding longs (far more in value) on spreadbets will get zero. Mookey has told you its going into administration likely as soon as the plan is approved in the US on the 28th. About a week to go. | loglorry1
19/6/2023 11:26 | Short positions closing due to cine being suspended soon. | millennialinvestor
19/6/2023 11:03 | Dsrush Then who on earth is buying it today ? Up 11.6 % ? | werethereisawill
19/6/2023 10:52 | Nope Lenders are taking the equity but are keeping it private - they'd rather not have to mark to market their position which they would if it's listed It would only come back to the market if they, or whoever they eventually sell it to decided to list itCould happen - but likely to be 3 years away at a minimum | williamcooper104
19/6/2023 08:45 | If cine shares are suspended what happens next ? Do they come back on the market ? Do they come back as Cine or new cine ? | werethereisawill
17/6/2023 14:24 | Spot on loglorry1 ! | cambridge130
17/6/2023 12:16 | It's wonderful that I can bet against some of the people who post here. The caliber of their posts assures me of the transfer of their wealth to me (tax free). Thanks by the way | loglorry1
17/6/2023 00:13 | werethereisawill, I feel sure most of CINE's employees will be far better off when the company is on the sound financial footing it will be once the restructuring is complete. If your call to "retain employees including the ones at the top" refers to the board of directors, it defeats me why you're agitating for them to continue leading the business. Notwithstanding the pandemic, they totally screwed the business at a heavy cost to lenders and minority shareholders, BUT NOT THEMSELVES. | henchard |
