Tomorrow is not D-day. That was postponed and we do not yet have a new date.

Changing from the aim to the primary market, could this be the reason why auditors are reviewing in detail previous years' accounts?

Now you would think the auditors would had picked this up last year not two years later.
The question is how much have they overstated in 2021/2022 to the slight positive increase in 2023.
Market looks unsettled when the CFO has not done his job properly.

Not exactly good news either as the implication is that for the previous few years they were overstating revenue. This is correcting slightly naughty behaviour, not the voluntary start of good behaviour, after all.

So not bad news. Just a slight delay in results. If no reason given then there would have been panic. An actual increase in revenue recognition for 2023...Buy

Ceres Power Holdings plc (CWR.L), a leading developer of clean energy technology, has been informed by its auditor, BDO, that it requires more time to complete its audit process.

The Company expects to make adjustments that principally relate to the timing of recognition of revenue from long term contracts. The outcome is expected to be a modest increase in revenue in 2023 relative to the £21-22 million guidance previously provided, and decreases in revenue in prior years.

The announcement of full year results for the year ended 31 December 2023, due on 20 March 2024, is expected to be delayed for a short period of time whilst the auditor completes its procedures. A revised date for the publication of these results will be announced in due course.

Come on Phil time for a reduction in headcount and trim overhead costs.
Arrogance will be the unmaking of you, it's quite OK to cut your thread to suit current orders and economics. Don't wait until all the cash has been spent...

So the blueprint would be licensed and built by a third party ?

yes very positive :-

"Set to use Ceres’ solid oxide electrolysis (SOEC) technology, the collaboration plans to create the blueprint for a 100MW+ electrolyser system which could be used as the building block for gigawatt-scale plants."

This is good news - a concrete step forward in 'at scale' SOEC.

They will be more efficient than ITM, but you cannot really compare them as CWR require 500-600C temperature as an input. Very different applications for different technologies.

The fact that they're doing one makes it positive I don't know. Itm been doing them for ages with stinking announcements apart from recent one

I did wonder that. I think bmel is referring to investor call alongside it ... but didn't realise they don't usually do one... so that could intimate they want to shout about something

They have discussed this design/application as being the highest efficiencies of any electrolyser type. This test will be the validation(or not) of that claim.

What intrigues me about this is the overall economics for Shell, or any other refinery operator, where the kit is producing hydrogen on a site that consumes hydrogen as part of the refining process. Not quite alchemy, but using ‘waste’ heat to produce a raw material for the same process is pretty cool, and doing it at a high % efficiency is even better.

If the results are as good as CWR anticipated that will be very good news. There a lot if refineries and comparable plants eg glass making that will be very interested in getting this kit installed. That should see some rapid announcements on potential licence companies that are waiting to see these results on top of the test data from the period the kit was in Germany.

This is a big deal - let’s hope it is very positive.

below, what makes you think announcing results date assumes results are good? Every company announces results date?

That sort of pre-announces that things went well and the results are highly positive. Maybe even confirming a Shell purchase order.
