Weichai Power Co., Ltd. was founded in 2002, with Weichai Holding Group Co., Ltd. as the main sponsor, which attracted qualified domestic and foreign investors. Located in the beautiful world kite capital, Weifang of Shandong, it is the first company listed in Hong Kong’s H-share market, as well as the first company returned to inland A-share market to achieve further business in China. Weichai is one of the strongest automotive and equipment manufacturers in China. After merging Torch Automotive Group Co., Ltd. in 2007, the company now has vehicle, powertrain and automobile parts as business platforms as well together with the heavyduty truck gold industry, including also engine, transmission, axle and commercial vehicles. Weichai Power takes “Green Power, International Weichai” as the mission and “customer̵7;s satisfaction” as the aim: values that have set up the corporate culture of “responsibility, communication, diversity”. During the 12th five-year plan, Weichai will try to achieve the great goal of being in the “top world 500 enterprise” list, becoming an international enterprise group.

THEY ARE ALSO A SPONSOR OF FERRARI F1

This has several jvs it's only a matter of time before one of them comes to fruition. All it takes to get this moving is just one announcement that their cells are getting embedded into something actually selling and i think after a very long wait we should be rewarded.

Hi
The offices and factory are large with two floors.
bottom floor is where the manufacturing happens.
manufacturing used to be in crawley until a bit of cost cutting several years ago.
carpark front of house is small so you can tell when visitors are in the building!!
you fill find a video on youtube on the unit

On a dynamic pricing model, where electricity price varies greatly depending on grid demand and availability, the economics may be different, but clearly cost of the kit is paramount.

Thanks Zeppo,

It seems they haven't set a price yet. The reason I asked is a read across to solar. The payback used to be 5 to 7 years and the public bought in but in 2016 the subsidy was cut and the payback went out to 15 years. Home installations stopped dead.
I read that their unit would save an average house £300 to £400/year. On that basis a unit cost of £2100 would work, £5250 would fail.

You think salaries are less and housing, beer is cheaper in horsham than in cardiff?

I doubt you'd move from guildford to cardiff and get a higher paid job.

Pierre Oreilly - Horsham is cheaper then IQEs stuff in Cardiff and IQE is now a billion pound company.

If you go on the train through Horsham you pass their building, with a big 'Ceres' sign. I think it's more than offices, don't they build the cells there too? I remember a long time ago i thought it a mistake to build an assembly factory in a very expensive part of the uk.

thanks for that zeppo.

The google image certainly gives the impression of a reasonably large office:

(make sure you rotate the image by about 90% to see the office (its on other side of street)

you probably can contact Phil Caldwell directly (the ceo) via his linkedin account

I rang the contact number office in England two days ago and left a message asking for projected timeline of PRC approval.

Definitely left my number - but no call back.

Rang again today. The phone just rang out.

Obviously a tightly run ship with minimal office staff (if any).

No e-mail address.

It is disconcerting for an investor not to be able to contact the company.

Long wait until the Full Year Figures.

Has anyone an idea of the cost projections for a household unit ? I've searched for a while and found nothing so far.

Thanks I got PC's talk, but it did not add much to the RNS eg no targets: technical, commercial, nor timewise. CWR has always been a complete clam. I respect that, though they could learn the art of letting out non price sensitive information which maintains confidence, and relieves the monotony of waiting for the next RNS.

They could for example been interesting on the subject of their experiences at the Japanese fuel cell exhibition without arming the competition.

Good thought Cerrito.

I contribute monthly to Greepeace.

Ceres and Weichai to clean up the planet with an emission free future - here's hoping!

I thought of the Weichai deal when I read that Greenpeace have-based on Chinese data-calculated that Chinese emissions will rise for the fastest on seven years on 2018- a reminder of some of the strategic imperatives behind this deal

From the interview:
'We did say that we were intending to get strategic investment into the company so this is subject to PRC approval in China but that would provide significant funds for us to execute what we need for the business going forward.'

PRC approval. Anyone know the timescale for this?

try substituting the xx in the url for tt.
FYA if you want to post a URL replace some letters for upper case e.g.
This fools the ADVFN system
