My fingers and toes calculation is basically - Weichai putting £40 million into the company for 20% means that the existing shares, which would constitute 80% of the company after the issue of new shares, should have a value of £160 million. Which is more or less where we are. Or am I being a little too simplistic?

According to a Scottish Mortgage spokesperson at their London seminar last week (they have £6 billion+ in overall investments) China intend to be major players in electric vehicles.

Shares will be diluted but Weichai buy in at slightly higher prices than today's which may be affected by the USA/China sentiment.

Just after reading this RNS, I read a FT article saying that Trump looking at restricting Chinese investment in tech industry in the US, although clean energy not specifically mentioned.
Weichai have a good deal here.
Given this deal is in Chinese interest, I would not have expected approval to be denied so today's share price reaction is for me logical.

with a timing of 17 years like the cycle of cicadas, and once an unbelievable share price high of 409p, CWR shares this week continued their 108%/pa recovery lift off from their 2018 low OF 10P. The share price is perceptibly accelerating as though the market is finally becoming aware of their track record impressing global corporations with their unique steel cell SOFC.

I feel that we finally have lift off towards commercialisation for two of the six cooperation licences, one of which must be for the domestic CHP boiler product, successfully tested during 2017 in several directors homes. I expect an RNS any day onwards, latest by the date of FY results in early October.

Any launch of CHP products would surely be timed to catch the next Winter season, and needs to be launched by early August for maximum effect.

'We did say that we were intending to get strategic investment into the company so this is subject to PRC approval in China but that would provide significant funds for us to execute what we need for the business going forward..
