Been saying for a while... don't fight the trend.. 100 coming soon.. then no idea..But I recon we can undershoot.. I'll buy some around 80p if it gets there without divi cut... however with doc cut could easily be 50p in no time..

CNA has lot of issues for the share price to be depressed but the last couple of days drop is due to Labour joining with Conservatives to resolve the Brexit issues and the market thinks that this will not be resolved and there is a chance of G-Elections! Labour have already indicated what they would do to the Utility sector if they came in power!

Its not always a "Choice, Centrica for example took over a small oil company (based in Aberdeen) in 2009 called "Venture Production". Centrica did a hostile take over with majority share holdings and applied for de-listing and the existing share holders had no choice but to sell at the price set by Centrica (i know someone that lost a lot)...................... So the Government would just force share holders to sell for what ever price they offer...................................

Nothing is too silly here. It has been silly season for a long time. Pin the tail on the donkey with the price.

IF 1.10 goes, then only other major support I would suggest is back in 1997 at 85p ? But that would be silly.

Friday up day on the DOW might hold back the tide.

logically shareholders paid > £2 won't sell for £1.10, will they?

Imo fear of a snap general election with a labour win and the threat of natioalisation is depressing all the ulility shares.

Adjusted basic earnings per share (EPS) - trending down
Group net debt - trending up
Basic earnings per share - trending down with last year's basic earning was only 3.3p

Ideally the dividend should only be 3p - 5p, would you agree?

Cut it to FTSE average (4.4% ? ) and make it a kitchen sink job. You'd be back north of £2 in 12 months

Until newspapers stop with the "British Gas lost 372,000 customer accounts in the four months to October...." this is likely to keep taking it up the tail pipe.
