Also Corbyn is 9% ahead in some polls and if elected will put additional strain on Centrica with caps on utility costs and increases in business rates. Its game over for Centrica.

Why should Conn say something.
Algo HCF trading can drive shares down to very low levels.
There are dozens of examples.

CNA is in a difficult position in a tough market, as well as a hostile press and political risk.
But all in the price.

Amused that snort states that the PE is below 10, yield at 11%, but that the share is going down.

I guess if Conn is confident that the numbers stack up, he will
not be bothered how far the share price falls, it will recover.

He should have a good idea what the forward projection is.

Mr Conn you're the winner of the "World hide and seek Championship" ( Monty Python ) you can come out now!!My only advice to Mr Conn would be is to say something now because the trading update seems like an awful long way away if he doesn't!!!!Good weekend all

You are missing the point , if you read the results, adjusted EPS of 11.2p . The dividend is 12p so in effect they are paying more in dividends than they are earning. This share will continue to fall , today is a good day and they are down again.

Conn was asked about the ability to maintain the dividend.
He implied that it was a cash flow issue and that prospects looked sound going forward.

Modern markets, we used to think a company made profits and gave a % of them to the shareholders.
It seems all of the chat these days is about cash flow.

An excuse for rating companies such as Amazon, all cash flow and no profit, at stupidly high valuations.
If you wish to study insanity, look t yesterdays ASOS results, and compare with ancient companies such as MKS or CNA.

Many shares today are like Bitcoin or a Tracy Emin painting.
Worthless junk driven by market sentiment.
They can keep their ASOS and Bitcoin, I will take my chances with the unloved CNA,BT MKS.

Yes because I was only being objective with the share, it does not help you by comments like this is undervalued etc or the yield is now 11%. Company does not have earnings to support dividend that is a fact which is a big warning sign for any investor existing or new. I am not relishing your position, as I said I have been there myself and I know the pressure, anxiety and stress that comes with it. I truly wish you the best.

I am not an idiot for only being honest . I was only thinking of the pressure you have been under , as you said the other day. You just posted that you were going to sell and go back into Lloyds, which makes sense to me. So if I am an idiot what does that make you?

Agreed we must be honest and take tough decisions.
I shall take that advice;

just about to mortgage my house and put the lot on CNA at 109p.

If recent trends to the shares share price continue we should see a drop till about 10am rising to a high for the day at around 12.30.That's when I'm going to sell all my centrica shares. I've had enough. I should have just stayed in lloy from 57p rather than try and trade it .Good Luck.

It's just a case of being realistic and not unrealistic with the facts as laid out. Better to be honest and take tough decisions. I can assure you I am talking from experience and to my own cost in the past
