02/4/2019 10:07 | I know Skinny, the title implies the £86m short position is against Centrica only, they both can’t be right, just shows you how much nonsense is written without being fact checked. | mercer95
02/4/2019 09:54 | Just two things wrong with the last four words of your post.I dont need help and Im not a Sir!Thanks anyway. | susiebe
02/4/2019 09:37 | Mercer - without wishing to be pedantic, it actually says :- "Disclosed so-called short positions in the Big Six energy supplier have risen to nearly £86m from zero at the beginning of February." | skinny
02/4/2019 09:18 | Ex Date is 09/05/2019 according to HL, and payment is 27/06/2019...... bit more like 5 weeks away. | hifc231
02/4/2019 09:12 | That article regarding short positions contradicts itself, the title states 86m against Centrica & then says its 86m against the big six utility companies, what do you expect when the guy responsible for it is named after a month, August Graham WTF must be related to our poster numbers (338)& someone earlier was comparing Centrica to Northern Rock (NRK) which is plain silly but he only joined ADVFN a few days ago so he gets a free pass. | mercer95
02/4/2019 09:06 | "Conn sticking to his guns shows a sign of confidence" confidence?you need help sir. | mroalan
02/4/2019 08:54 | All those short positions will have to close at some point.Could be in for some massive rises here.Conn sticking to his guns shows a sign of confidence. | susiebe
02/4/2019 08:54 | Have the shorters finished or is there more to come ? Common sense suggests they'd want to avoid the dividend or am I wrong? | mitchy
02/4/2019 08:42 | If CNA could run a campaign to encourage former customers to switch back this CNA share could recover strongly. Many switch customers are disillusioned by huge price rises after switching, or even worse, trapped into a failing energy supply business. These previous customers are 'harvested' by new companies and then passed on to another supplier after failure. Conn is playing the long game and sticking to his strategy, things could turn eventually, because he is looking after customers and being competitive. | careful
02/4/2019 08:32 | Followed by a big flop on the XD date... be careful on this one as I reckon it could be heading to 100p....and no I don't short. | losses
02/4/2019 08:22 | We are less than 2 weeks away from the xd date being within T20 trading. Imo big rises towards xd | masterblaster
02/4/2019 08:03 | Very happy to top up.Was wanting 100p but too much scaremongering going on which only means one thing. | susiebe
02/4/2019 07:50 | Morning Noticed a block of 12m was reported an hour after the bell last night. Doesn't necessarily mean a great deal but it's worth pointing out. | nortic 007
01/4/2019 21:57 | Another successful day resisting the urge . | mitchy
01/4/2019 21:56 | Turnaround stock of 2019. | gaffer73
01/4/2019 21:35 | The board must have missed the journey from 400p to 113p....they just kept on paying the divi... | diku
01/4/2019 21:24 | Trying to take a 5 year view here, I am holding but sitting on a significant loss. Difficult to value. A £29bn turnover and a decent cash flow must give some hope. Hundreds of new competitors and ease of switching must be a problem. Many cowboys offering teaser deals below cost. But not everyone is tempted to switch, they are wisely cynical. Financial discipline is being forced on Centrica. The dividend I ignore. What is the point of increasing debt to pay a dividend that is not earned. Things look grim, we need some results to reassure. from £4.0 to £1.13 is an enormous crash. | careful
01/4/2019 21:08 | This share is on a journey to keep suckering in divi seekers...lock them in... | diku
01/4/2019 20:11 | I was really interested in buying this stock until I read the balance sheet, being serious now and I hate to pee on your parade, but when this goes ex div, imo I dont think it will recover, I honestly can see this going to 50-60p area. I’m not short or trying to deramp, imo the balance sheet is a total mess and I think the chart, Sp reflects this, trying to average down on a balance sheet like this is imo financial suicide. | turvart |
