zulu principle
i think his son runs a fund based on that, but it might have changed as like most funds based on principles there is only a few quoted stocks that meet the criteria so thy end up investing in stocks like any other.
A while back a happened to hit SPSY as it matched my investment criteria a month later i found out the Slater family had a stake there so guess they had been using a similar model as me. but they were well ahead of me, with a much larger holding at a much lower price ! i think my investment model needs some work!!

Strange reaction to the update yesterday and if it wasn't a bargain before it surely is now. Even with the current yield it's a steal but as you say shakey, there's every chance of it increasing again. Too good to miss.

This has to be worth a buy right now. This from CAML's final results for 2016;

"Revenue

A total of 13,751 tonnes (2015: 11,750 tonnes) of copper cathode from Kounrad were sold through the Company's off-take arrangements with Traxys and a further 187 tonnes (2015: 290 tonnes) were sold locally. Total sales at Kounrad were 13,938 tonnes (2015: 12,040 tonnes) representing a 16% increase in volumes.

While copper cathode sales volumes have increased during the year when compared to 2015, Group revenue was adversely impacted by the decline in copper prices. An average selling price of $4,994 per tonne was achieved in 2016 (2015: $5,336 per tonne), representing a 6% decrease in the price of copper. This generated gross revenues for the Group of $69.3 million (2015: $67.3 million)."

Note, "an average selling price of $4,994 per tonne was achieved in 2016"

A pound of copper has been over $2.58 all year (going on monthly average price). This equates to a price per tonne of over $5,676. This years results could be very good indeed. The half year results will also be very nice I suspect.

just added a few more
yield is excellent
i wonder what they are going to do with all the cash they have and the cash they are currently generating from operations
as capital expenditure should be much lower this year i am hoping we shall see a decent increase in the dividend

Certainly would like this to dip back to support in the mid 190's for a safe buy. With a bit of market weakness can see me getting this target soon enough.

Aye. I've never really taken notice of ex div dates because I've always held before the expiry. It's a damn good divi too.

Daybreakers.

Yes. You have to buy before the share goes ex dividend. Buyers on ex dividend day do not get the dividend. Ex divi means excluding the dividend. Thursday is usually ex dividend day.

Yes, somebody is selling slowly and gradually so as not to wreck the share price. Intelligent selling. We will just have to wait until he clears before we make any further progress. Back up to around 240 I reckon, once the overhang is cleared.

I called Barcs and they said I missed the div date by 1 day. Even though today is ex div date, I should have bought yesterday to be on record tomorrow so I'm guessing its to do with the settlement period of 3 working days.

bahhhhh
