It is sad for longs, though it's vindication for lodgeview and trader456 at these levels.

So glad to be out of this dog. It will come back one day. It's always been spoken about a year or two away from potential rewards - It's playing out at that.

Assuming PoG could stay above $1,825 for few days until the end of this month... Then I predicted to see a test around $1,950 in Jan 2022 👍

Gecko ...Remdesivir is clearly useless ...always has been. Your comments re data and vaxx etc are clearly influenced by your love of all thinks conspiracy. What gave it away? Have Vit C, go for a run, eat avocados ... I know what you mean...lol. Sadly, it.s really all about age, your genes, your belly size and existing conditions. These are the key explainers. Trying your best to live a healthy lifestyle certainly helps but it s not the real saviour when you.ve got an alien content on wiping you out. And oh, we can all still go the pub, sit in a crowded cafe or restaurant. Great that the gov thinks it.s more sane to save pubs etc while the nhs is utterly trashed. No, let the businesses go bust, they.ll repop up fast enough. Cruel I know but at least I.m acting rationally. If peeps want to get pished, have posh food, sit with their buds, let em do it in their own houses ...it might lower the now too complicated R number.

property market is doomed, a whole generation on interest only mortgages stuck on the SVR. Fine at record low interest rates but a 100bps rate rise on an svr of 1% is a doubling of the mortgage interest. The higher rates go then the higher the interest multiple. We all like a double or treble bagger on AIM but some will be doing it on their mortgages.

In the USA the FED will now soon have to act with inflation running at around 38 year highs and playing with 7%

Sooner rather than later one would have thought

Current thinking is 2 or 3 rate rises in 2022 followed by another 3 rate rises in 2023

The FED chooses in many cases to talk rather than to act --- as the talking tends to have a similar effect on acting --- or has done in the past

buywell believes that with 7% inflation --- talking is not going to cut it

--------------------------------------------------

One would expect to see a front end loaded rise then a tailing off perhaps a couple of 0.5% rises and then a series of 0.25% rises to follow

The $US should rise and precious metals/commodities fall next year

Depending on the outcome of Omicron and the mutations it spawns --- there is imo a real possibility of a property market crash in the offing

dyor imo
