Safe haven lol- the only safe haven if COVID gets worse is cash- look what happened in ~March2020 everything went down, gold only came back when the general markets did, then came to a grinding halt and dipped when the generally rest of the markets and crypto marched onto new highs.
Crytpto is it's own beast- pointless making comparisons- but institutional investment is growing in it- some articles have said safe haven although I just think it's a sensible thing to do with your portfolio highest asset risk and smallest % of portfolio. Trading it is hard to do successfully because of sudden wild swings, staying in large periods of time and coming out and in is most preferable, for me in any case.
If with this dent the leader, BTC is still up ~65% where most goldies down ~30%. Goldies are my next highest risk asset, great for constant trading though. Look over the past 5 years and all those "ponzi scheme", "tulips" detractor brigade are weeping at their miss, and so tend to be most anti.
PMs, crypto and others, all useful in a balanced portfolio.

It undermines the crypto communities claim of a safe haven somewhat at the very least

Yeah I feel the same re Omi. Increased transmissibility ie approx twice Delta. Lethality seems okay. Defo a case of the Panikus variant. They know Omi outcompetes delta easily. Might be gd until Omi mutates further. V unpredictable.

Might be correct, might not...
Depends on COVID movements over the weekend- I don't know why they didn't name this variant Panikos lol- it's what the world is doing- nuts. I saw a paper saying cases gone up 100%and calling it the super variant, saying vaccinated people get it (of coruse they do they get the other variants too and as ~90% of people of people are vaccinated in the UK, there's not many unvaccinated around to get it)- usual media hysteria- none of whom get impacted by COVID, but they do make a shed load by keeping it going...

Divergence bull signal on the hour....Lower low followed by another lower low on the candles, however we have a lower low followed by a higher low on the RSI.Https://www.tradingview.com/x/L2FqMa70This indicates strong buying support at current price and a retrace should be expected, so using fibonacci, we should look for factors of confluence in the way of support/resistance lines for our potential price targets.Https://www.tradingview.com/x/OnlEZWg1

Yeah you’ll soon learn that with a small spread bet account it’s more profitable to leave the intraday trading to the more knowledgeable, you are better suited to collect trolleys at Tesco 👍

FYI I grabbed a few today, but a very small amount (for me) because I think it has the potential to go lower before it goes higher

Things for you will probably work out well over the long term. But I do enjoy watching Prat and Kenny beat Warren Buffet and Jim Simons with their allegations of compounding 2% a day trading CEY while it’s been falling from 200p to 90p.

🤡🤡🤡
