Punters on those forums noticed a slip by one of the girls, when she talked on the mike, saying to them that they were watching a Bluebird Brand name, when in fact it was a Cellcast channel. Some of the forum posters took this to mean that Bluebird were taking over the Cellcast channel

Time will tell, I guess...

Looks like the Bluebird / Private Media partnership didn;t last long, so they may well have had to look elsewhere for mobile and internet distribution...

Cellcast perhaps?

Going through those threads and seems that Bluebird have purchased 8 channels so far!

Plus, this comment from the Bluebird Rep:

"We have acquired an existing Freeview channel and we are in discussions re others.

So we will be on Freeview.

Thanks"

Does that mean freeview on top of those 8 channels?

Whatever, it's a very rapid expansion...

You make a good point about the pound - it will certainly be having a very positive impact on the CAH earnings

With regard to NC, I think someone mentioned that he may have been selling because of the LNG share price. I don't know if that is the case, but LNG took another plunge last week, so the sells do seem to correlate...

One thing for sure, someone is buying the shares, but like you say - who is it?

So it was Craven who sold the 1m.

But who is the buyer here?

I've a real gut instinct that we could be looking at a takeover this year. Maybe an American adult content company, seeking exposure to the UK market.......alternatively someone seeking to purchase 37.5% of CAH on the cheap.

Crucially, the weak pound makes it more likely than not.

Results likely towards end of May rather than June. As they will be reporting profit from associates we may get a surprise on profitability. That should kick in even more for the current half year.

I think it really could indicate the company is finally making good cash from the UK business. How else would they be able to invest in new ventures like this?I

I know that these Directors are 100% committed to making Cellcast a HUGE company, so it doesn;t surprise me at all to see them taking on new market opportunities quickly

Why they don't update the market, though, is anyone's guess...

That does look like significant news. Can we presume there is cash available to spend, if they keep adding more channels like this?

I think it would be worth them updating the market every time they win a new slot - the only time they have done that was when the share price started reacting and even then they never followed up on the announcement as promised

That 216k trade is Buy not sell.
