True, but nobody knows which of the 'options' proposed will be enforced. There are quite a few different outcome scenarios ranging from channels just having to put a visible warning banner on the screen (but business goes on as usual), through to the channels having to come off-air if they get classed as advertising / teleshopping (as far as I'm aware no 'adult' advertising is allowed on TV)

So, although they should have some sort of plan for all of the different potential outcomes, it's only when the decision is made and they can react to it. Only then will we find out what effect it has on business and whether they can still trade profitably

"and Cellcast will have had some time to react to it."

Ofcom commenced the first consultation into their possible options for prs over a year ago now.

I agree. I don't think there is any information out there that gives any clear visibility at all right now. We will definitely be in a much better position to assess the company when the September results are released. By then, we will have had the ofcom decision and Cellcast will have had some time to react to it.

LS - I think it could be a case of chucking good money after bad. Prefer to wait for developments here before I decide to buy more, besides if you want to sell any in quantity the mm's take 5 pounds of flesh just to rub it in. Needs more liquidity and that wont happen until company gives a clear trading update without smoke and mirrors.
Sadly didn't get into TAN.

Why is no one averaging down?, and if they have made any profit on TAN lately then their top up will be for free :).

Tremendous potential, yes, glad to see you still have optimism.

Still searching for something positive that is slightly more tangible here. Hopefully the AGM will help answer some questions...

Cheers

Hi,

Guys, the business still has tremendous potential.

I wish the management were less conservative, not falling back on their career experience, depending on such a narrow niche and the one country.

However, they now have moved to a better technology platform, have a succeeding middle-east telecoms business, a wider business that if the financial environment improves, could be well placed to develop foreign opportunities, and none of their UK competitors ( 900-tv) can touch them in terms of professionalism.

There's also other stuff......

Yours kindly,

MN

One thing that does interest me, is that Neil Craven continued to build a stake here despite the potential ofcom ruling looking.

Shame he hasn't continued to buy, though.

Anyway, the AGM is two weeks tomorrow, so we may get some more info then.

Anyone going?

Your mum? How did she get into this one?

Does she know she's into Cellcast, or are you taking her money from that tin on the mantlepiece?

Sorry I had to edit that since my mum has learnt how to read these boards. I will have to edit this post soon too.

Looks a great chance to average down. All holders here are now holding high losses, so they do not have much choice in the matter.

Analyst,

These on-screen banners have been on the channels since the beginning of this year, conforming with ofcom proposals (we hope).

I also have access to sky this week. I find the mobile dating format on the sumo tv channel a pretty good concept, especially with the on screen hosts encouraging texts.

So are these on screen 'transparency of information' banners new developments for the adult websites?

I like the thought of the product where people can listen-in to other peoples conversations - very Big Brother and I suspect there is a big market for that with those that are wanting to call, but not confident enough to talk to a real presenter. Again, is that a new development?
