I guess unless they get a strike at lower levels, then this will barely cover costs, as already mentioned, but trying to strike oil in the U.S. majors' back yard is hardly sporting.

And costs are a lot higher...

If it was him ur right as they sold later in the day 21929 at 3:23pm at another loss - pity he never held on he could have lost some more.....

Caspian Holdings says to resume oil production at Zhengeldy field

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Caspian Holdings Plc said the Kazakh
authorities have approved the work programme for the Zhengeldy project, allowing
the group to resume production from the oil field.
Production from the field was suspended in February while the company awaits
the approval from Zapkaznedra, Kazakhstan's regional supervisor.
Zhengeldy was pumping around 120 barrels a day prior to the suspension and
Caspian Holdings said it expects output to achieve a similar level following
ramp-up work.
"The company completed a new export facility at Karsak last year and we are
delighted that approval has been granted at such a buoyant time in the oil
market. With oil prices in excess of $130 per barrel it is a great time for us
to recommence oil production," said chief executive Michael Masterman.

I thought they were waiting for export licences, and stopped production of their own accord. Can they now export, or are we still waiting for that ?
