Relishing thanks for the link, well done on finding it, at least we know there is possibly some truth in it now, however slim.
If this goes through and they show some signs of actually drilling, this might turn into an opportunity to make some of our losses back, as a whole load of these at 2.5p are not going to cost much at all and it could be a good way to average down a lot. Whether I ever get my money back remains to be seen.

USA Lease Update

Further to the announcement of 16 April 2008, clear title due diligence on the
Pine Meadows lease is underway and near completion. The Vittorino Serri Oil
Company and Caspian have agreed to extend the period to complete the due
diligence to around 20 May 2008.

Has anyone been able to find out anything about Vitoriano Serri Oil Co. yet ?
Do they actually exist ? I really do hope so and they are not one of MMs companies.

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Caspian Holdings Plc. said it is expanding into
the United States with the signing of an agreement with Vitoriano Serri Oil Co.
for the lease of a highly prospective 240-acre oil license in the San Joaquin
basin of Bakersfield, California.
Caspian also said it has a 100 percent interest in the lease and it will pay
a 20 percent royalty to Vitoriano Serri on commercial production from the field.
The company said over the next two months it will start geological and
geophysical studies to estimate resources, and choose well locations.
Caspian said it expects to drill one or two wells in the second half of
2008. Under the lease, the company is required to drill a minimum of one well by
the end 2008.

From the 20th February:

"The Company is currently awaiting approval of its Supervision of Development Plan ("SDP") from the Central Commission of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of Kazakhstan ("MEMR"). The SDP, which has previously been approved by the Atyrau Regional Inspector and received the necessary positive opinion from the independent expert, has been tabled at the February meeting of the Central Commission of MEMR and the Company awaits the protocol from this meeting."



Almost a whole quarter with no income. OUCH!
