25/1/2010 08:50 | Very bullish trading statement, with the next 6 months looking even better. I expect new highs over the coming months. Off topic, take a look at APA. I've posted some interesting research on the BB this morning. | ![]() cliley454
25/1/2010 08:44 | A very confident statement 2p interin and final to come must be cheap at this.Stock up on figures.Well done Cassidy | ![]() gears

02/10/2009 15:43 | Sterling is going lower so any overseas earnings will be very useful. The price is still below NAV so looks good value.Anyone going to AGM? Be interesting to see what the new products are. | ![]() gears
25/9/2009 09:42 | That fit's in perfect with the back seat driver which on Amazon is still a good seller even though 3 types are now available.I get the feeling better things are to come here on the partnership front. If firms are wanting toys to be sold along with the real thing this could alter costs and increase sales quite quickly. The cost base is now so small any new income sources could lift profits so along with SteveD I am looking for growth. | gamblinman
25/9/2009 09:33 | Hmm interesting. Agree that the stock and dividend are very positive signals, as are the FOB trade generally. The child satnav product sounds great, albeit possibly a tad distracting if there is a real satnav in the front of the car. It would drive me mad, but I guess young kids would love it! | ![]() topvest
25/9/2009 08:46 | The management are too astute and experienced to buy large chunks of stock without confidence demand is there IMO. Consequently this and the growing dividend are strong pointers to future growth. From what I've uncovered the patented toy due for launch early next year is a child's electronic sat-nav device that sort of mimic's the real thing and can be fitted to the back street driver, toy car, bike etc.. Seems like a good idea to me and could do well - what do you think? | ![]() steved
25/9/2009 07:20 | The currency and stock are better than having sterling deposits. Not many companies in a position to do this. The infrastructure been built up for overseas sales should help turnover.Any profits coming from abroad will increase profits in sterling terms if pound keeps falling.Only danger is the impact on uk consumer spending when inflation takes off.Hence the reason to push FOB. | ![]() gears
25/9/2009 06:07 | Yes, as last year on cash most in us$ or euro's. They also have much more stock, which in their business is probably a pointer towards current activity levels being strong. They do say that they bought US$ and bought lots of stock at an advantageous currency rate, which should help margins this year if they can shift it. | ![]() topvest
24/9/2009 22:39 | Just noticed in annual report at year end over half a mil in non sterling currency and stock double the previous year.So well placed if sterling continues to plunge. Please check if a shareholder and correct me if I'm wrong. | ![]() gears
24/9/2009 12:19 | Price starting to reflect NAV and dividend.I like the new structure on the contacts part of the website. It shows the countries they are selling in which hopefully will generate income from FOB sales. | gamblinman
24/9/2009 09:24 | Agreed; they need a new innovation to propel sales after the still successful role model toys and the not so successful PegSculpure - watching with interest. FOB business has been a big success for them. | ![]() topvest
24/9/2009 07:51 | The mail mentioned a 12% drop in sterling in 3mths against the Aussie and New Zealand currency.7% against the euro. The Casdon policy of going International may look a good move in a years time. From it's base in Blackpool it can organise sales from China worldwide. With a small UK workforce to design and manage sales costs have been reduced. So lets hope they do well. | ![]() gears
21/9/2009 20:31 | Thanks - interesting article. I suppose Casdon are big in Blackpool. Nice to see the price back to a resaonable level. | ![]() topvest
21/9/2009 17:03 | Not sure if this will show but clip from local paper. | gamblinman
21/9/2009 08:49 | Can anyone explain the H2 comparables being so poor ? Revenues increased from £1.371m to £1.822m but the direct costs of those sales increased far more from £562k to £1.194m causing GP to actually drop 25% on 40% higher sales ??? Operating profit was negative in H2 and the eps just 0.88p in that period compared to 2.87p last year. The business in the UK must have been very damaging overall. | ![]() davidosh
21/9/2009 08:19 | 8500 50p this morning.At 50p still nice divi and below NAV. | gamblinman
21/9/2009 08:04 | I have not seen a single trade go through since the results. Where are they showing ? | ![]() davidosh
21/9/2009 07:32 | The price is starting to reflect the figures and growth prospects. | ![]() gears
18/9/2009 21:51 | I agree topvest room for growth worldwide new products being patented too. This could be a growth stock in a few years time.I am surprised these aren't much higher given the dividend. | ![]() gears
18/9/2009 20:06 | Latest toy range Dividend yield was about 10% a few weeks back and was at a 50% discount to book value. | ![]() topvest
18/9/2009 20:02 | I agree - doing really well. Be interesting to understand what % of sales is now overseas F.O.B - they seem to be doing very well in international markets. Always the chance they will deliver a blockbuster patented toy as well. PegSculpture wasn't a big hit, but maybenext time. The Casdon role play toys were and are still brilliant innovative toys. They can do it again! | ![]() topvest
18/9/2009 08:39 | Nothing depressing here from what I can see a great little company on the up with a strong reason to do so.I hope they can continue to gain ground on the big boys and there toys become an international name like Casdon International.Lots to go for in a worldwide market. | gamblinman |
