Gamblinman - I agree with your comments. The listing on Amazon is also quite impressive! Most companies talk a good game on cutting costs - Casdon have done more than talk, it's a very impressive performance in my opinion. They now need to grow sales and the rewards could be good. This is definitely a lean and mean company! NAV is twice the current price and that doesn't revalue the land and buildings since 1998. Run-down area or not, you are probably looking at a real NAV considerably in excess of what is in the accounts, particularly in todays "toppy" real estate market.

When you consider the amount of work involved in Vacating the main warehouse, then moving from the head office with all equipment and less staff then maybe the odd slip is ok (posting accounts late).Like I mentioned previousley 2 main directors got paid off along with other staff last year in a major shake out.The company is lean and hungry just how they produced new pegs and the Henry along with a some funfair games is amazing.Look on Amazon and type Casdon for full list of toys or visit the shop on Ebay and Mailorder express too.The main thing for us the shareholders this year is worldwide Dyson sales, 58p Asset share.Paul Cassidy supported by his two sons Peter & Phil have done much to improve performance.I would like to see Casdon instead of Cassidy for the company name.Lastly the 58p does not include any value on the business.Like I mentioned earlier I think some ex directors may sell but this could be a buying opp for new investors. Good Luck

Had a look through the accounts - they have really taken the cost base down very severely indeed. Directors' remuneration and staff costs all dramatically reduced. Quite impressive really. This does mean that there is scope for a significant p&l turnaround if they achieve higher sales - PegSculpture would presumably help well if they can get this off the ground! No mention of rental income in the accounts - should be disclosed really, so we will have to guess how much this is now!

Accounts arrived today. That's why the AGM is postponed as rather difficult for shareholders to lodge their proxy cards by Monday, not that their vote will make any difference! Has to be 21 days for ordinary resolutions, I think, from memory! Bit of a bodge job!

They have probably forgotten again.....

I believe this is the first set of results they havent had to retract and subsequently reissue in the last 3 years!

You do have to smile at the Cassidys.

AGM postponed. Suspect the fact that the accounts haven't been sent out yet has something to do with this. Bit odd!

To be fair, the Cassidy's wont ever liquidise the business so the only way for CDY to make us big bucks is for them to turn the business around and 25k worth of rental income wont do it.

With over 1 million in cash and no debt the rental income however small could accelerate the turnaround in fortunes. Between the two halves last yeart they made a loss in first half which is often a strong period then a profit in second half a weak period. With the chairman indicating the worst may be over I think Hugepants by waiting for his 30p should get his reward over the next year.Good Luck

To clarify:

Purely for land values and commercial activity I might add, I wasnt implying they would get to make the 'chips' (Or plastic busts of Elvis for that matter).

I took advantage of the fall and bought more shares in this illiquid pile of cack. 5K at 30p. The shares are so illiquid its like trading in a private company.

Figures look sound but there could be a stock overhang from ex directors options etc. With this not being a crest settlement it is more difficult and costly to deal not sure how to get the best dealer on this the company brokers never replied to my query.

It looks quite a large site. If you check casdon.com then click the contact link it shows a map which shows the factory. Perhaps what it lacks in quality it makes up for in quantity??
How much income will CDY get from letting out the 6,000 square foot surplus office space?

Share price down today. Whether the site is a quality area or not, I suspect it's value is significantly up on 1998 values.

Not sure about which brokers trade? Argos definitely have the pic n mix sweetshop and Dyson vacuum listed in their new brochures, but some others may be Casdon or may not. Difficult to tell really.

Which other products apart from pegsculpture are in the catalogue?Like you say the info on these is limited so any news will be on this board. The problem with the pegs I think will be the weight for postage so much goes by mail these days so lighter toys will cost less to send.Any idea who trades these residual stocks like Cassidy? Thanks

They have 2 PegSculpture products in the new Argos brochure, along with some more familiar Casdon products. I'm not sure that the PegSculpture products are presented that attractively though - need some marketing push on this product to break into any serious volumes in my opinion.
