With no sellers at 37 apart from one and no fall in price I think we can take it the 28.5 is history. The Henry vac is selling well and along with the American Dyson trade should stabalise sales. The extra rental income and interest on the cash pile also should make for better figures when the interim results are released in mid-Jan. While I was looking at Dyson toys I notice the link above which I thought could be the Casdon DCO7 in new colours for the USA market. After looking at the toy fair exhibitors I noticed Hanimex are showing the Dyson replicas and pegsculptures at the toy show.

Are FINN still bidding for 25,000? Or are they down to 15,000 now after the 10,000 sell yesterday. [HugePants]

Since it's necessary to watch this share like a hawk, I have just noticed your post of 15 Nov. ;-)

FINN are still "on the half" - at the mo it's:
WINS 1k 37-42
FINN 25k 28.5-n/a

The FINN bid is timed at 05.00, so perhaps a case of the early bird hoping to catch a careless worm.

I'll probably pop back in to this "rampathon" in another month ... or so. :-)

Yep thats new one to me. 1.5 MMs!?
25,000 shares is a lot for this company (its about 0.5% of the issued share capital).

Dyson granted Cassidy worldwide license to sell their toy vacs DC07 DC08.This was UK only up to 2006.Hence the Dollar A/C and American and Canadian distributors appointed for Dyson toys. With the pegsculpture Casdon have UK patent because they design and produce it.Henry too is made under license like Dyson.

But WKT have 2 MMs, CDY only 1, although now I see they're up to 1.5 MMs - WINS as usual up in 1000 but there's an extra half - FINN bidding for 25000 (no offer).

GamblinMan,
If they are licensing their toys now would this not show under "additional income" or similar, rather than turnover?

hugepants

Try the above for a selection of toys at toymaster

Incidentally WKT has similar fundies as CDY (ie. big freeholds compared to market cap and profitable). Just as unloved and illiquid though

Good to see some interest here. I think Casdon is a cracking little company - a real "value stock" if ever there was one. Quite impressed by the way they have taken costs out of the business.

Just called in the local toy shop to look at Henry but sold out and 30 on order. Also just for interest Dyson(real version) sales in Japan are going well according to Dyson news release. This should help Casdon sales of toy Dysons in Japan they are just starting to sell there. That worldwide license for Dyson toy vacs could be a very good deal with the cost of jigging already paid for.

Thats the way I see it and with the first half over we can wait and see if the cost cutting, rental income, interest on cash, toy sales etc make the impact on profits. The company give no updates just the results.

Looking at worst case then if the toy business fails (doesnt look like it just now) then they should be able to close it cheaply given they only have 12 employees and no lease liabilities etc. That would leave the property business which would support current share price. So risk/reward looks excellent. Limited downside if toy business fails and substantial upside if it takes off again.
