Agreed topvest. Illiquid residual stock which is very hard to trade and only market in 500 with 5p spread.Which brokers deal in this stock it's only Crest online?

Still hold some of these - bit of a rough ride of late, but seem to be coming out of the other side now. Very encouraging results in my opinion, although the annual report is awaited and it will be interesting to see what is included in that document when it is posted.
Two opportunities here for me:
1. Their patented Pegsculpture toy takes off or they have some other toy success. Probably unlikely to have a massive hit this christmas, but you never know.
2. Otherwise the company is making the most of its property assets - if I remember rightly these have not been revalued and are likely to be worth substantially more than book value. How much rental income now?
Given that the toy business has been down-sized the risk is lower and the company could always turn itself into a property company if the toy business fails.
On the down-side this company is a family owned business. Although good updates are given every 6m, it doesn't issue news updates in between. The shares are also rather illiquid.

I tried to buy some first thing when the ask price was 25p. I was offered the chance to buy a mere 6K at 30p! Talk about illiquid.

PS. SKC with market cap of 3.9M is priced at net cash and the growing, profitable business being valued at zero

Quite a turnaround on results now in profit,
one to watch after this 66% rise on just two 1k sells.
Will probably fall back tomorrow.

PUG - Glad to hear you haven't been caught out here.

However, I think there's little or no chance of forcing an asset liquidation. This is a family run company, run for the benefit of said family! I bet they like things just as they are, easy money and a nice lifestyle for perenially underperforming.

Nice work if you can get it!

mad4IT>. Agreed if the Company continues as is but if broken up should produce significantly more than the current share price. (IMO & DYOR) NTAV according to Refs before thse results was 57p which is being eroded by management.

Note I do not hold but have been considering as an asset play for some time if I could workout how to get management to consider liquidating the company.

Interim results worse than expected. Do not like the increase in debtors. Shareholders funds being slowly eroded. Best return (imo) for shareholders could be to wind up the Company but given Director control unlikely.

Any views?

Hmmm... Presumably this is not a grandson who is the top toy tester.

How refreshing to see that Cassidy Brothers have made such a pro-active appointment with Peter Charles Cassidy being added to the board. Presumably that surname is nothing more than a coincidence....

Unbelievable

What a day and time to relase the results.
Massive loss "OPERATING (LOSS (457,858)and (imo) no real sign of a return to profit on the horizon. Major customer (£400K approx of t/o) closed down. Peg sculpture slow - Dividend cancelled - Only support to share price is the asset base but current rate of loss will soon erode this base. Director contolled so no real chance of a breakup unless the family decide to close the business and the real asset warehouse is now apparently encumbered with a long lease -

More later when I have been able to study the accounts in greater detail.

Anyone know how their new product is doing? Bounced quite a bit since the start of the year.

It will be interesting to see what (if any) effect the Tie up with the yanks will have concerning the royalties from the CSI launch.

Strange that rather than agreeing to supply them, they instead opted for royalties on an unexclusive licence, particularly as the production is now out of China.

The irony of it all: The production is now out of China.... would this be the same China that Cassidy had a pop at in official accounts "Pirates of Peking"

A poorly run listed company in my opinion, but undervalued all the same.

With nothing positive on current trading and a family shareholder passing on, stock may be coming onto the market. Not sure how many shares the family member had but no news on the holding. Also options given at 32p are I think still floating. Please check me on this in the last annual results.Plus side could be property rental but this was only warehouse not office space and Blackpool is cheap.I still hold but the current climate of too many toys may be here a while longer. The balance sheet still firm but with little news it's hard to rate this a buy.Hold if your in and hope for a good Christmas next year.

Heaven forbid that we should do ramping here, but since we're on the subject Total Systems(TTS) has market cap covered by cash + revalued property (central London site purchased in 1986) so the profitable business is valued at zero effectively.
