24/2/2005 09:01 | Cheers topvest, Though id better be careful, I got a bo!!ocking on the IDN thread this morning for too much banter. Regards Pat p.s without wishing to seen to be ramping (not that it can really be considered that when only 4 people in total ever look at this thread!) IDN is worth a look imho on a 4 month view. | business link
22/2/2005 21:55 | lol. Good to have some banter on here! Interesting day today for Casdon. Why the increase? | topvest
22/2/2005 16:52 | Christ looks like the imminent news of the MGM deal is leaking out! | business link
22/2/2005 13:06 | I think it could be the next big thing, Bed, Breakfast and on demand In room peg skulpting, so much better than soft core porn. Regards Pat | business link
22/2/2005 13:05 | Rofl! Or are the casino giants really interested in PegSculpture craft kits? | hugepants
22/2/2005 13:00 | Never mind that HP, Think of the value when the government gives the go-ahead for mega Casino's. MGM Grand II will be chasing Cassidy down Fleetwood Promenade with chequebook in hand before you know it.... | business link
22/2/2005 12:06 | In general property prices have risen more than 50% since 1998 when CDY's were last valued at 1.8M. Therefore Id say a current valuation of 2.5M would be fairly prudent. | hugepants
27/1/2005 16:30 | I know. I had hoped that the odd smiley at the end of my post would clarify the cynical sarcasm contained therein but it doesn't always work in this medium. | chessfou
27/1/2005 15:05 | I think perhaps AI9 may not have actually ever owned any CDY chessfou. Just a thought.... | business link
27/1/2005 13:59 | Presumably AI9 ('as intelligence - nein?) moved TMT bubble profits into CDY in 2000 but then why did s/he hold through the end 2002 peak all the way down here? ()-; | chessfou
27/1/2005 12:24 | LOL! Perhaps, he shorted it.... Rgds dell | dell314
27/1/2005 12:00 | LOL! Of all the threads to ramp on..... This has done well for him..... Even better! | business link
27/1/2005 11:58 | guys this stock has done well for me but now i think its time to move out potential break outs: 1) MEG 2) BPRG 3) PMG | al9
21/1/2005 10:28 | The PegSculpture range is more difficult to copy - it is protected by patents and trademarks. I agree that the results this year will not be good and may show a small loss, particularly as results are normally H1 loaded. | topvest
21/1/2005 10:17 | tiredoldbroker> Thanks for your thoughts - Mirror mine fairly closely especially your input re "Family" . In my experience more often than not 2nd and 3rd generations have lost teh initial hunger and often waste the proceeds of their forebears. Prime example Coutts (Cohen family) and Sainsbury (too busy being amongst the great and the good) Your thoughts on the property value most interesting and possibly a killer but judging by he price mark up someone must have bought recently. | pugugly
21/1/2005 09:20 | dell314 Agreed. Accounts are imo more negative than positve, Reading between the lines they are either unable to penetrate teh major FMCG retailers or are being screwed by them. I suspect that their traditional small toy retaiers and Woolwoths are also on a downtrend. My worry is that as a family business they may waste the property value in trying to keep it going. I also do not like the level of interest payable. Last full year £21K odd was paid in interest charges and helped pus them into a full year loss. Worried that they may be loss making again this year. DIVIDEND CUT TOO SO NOT EVEN AN INCOME PLAY. Any other thoughts. | pugugly
21/1/2005 09:03 | Business Link - Thanks for stating the obvious. I'm assuming that anticipated festive volume is already off to wholesalers long before then. Christmas starts in September in most shops, just as you'll find Easter eggs appearing in supermarkets in a week or two........ Rgds dell | dell314
21/1/2005 08:42 | 1st half ended October Dell... | business link
21/1/2005 08:16 | Results out today. Mildly encouraging I thought, particularly on the PegSculpture range going forward. Everyone already new that the launch had been delayed, but it seems to have been well received. Could be big! Seem to be turning more and more of their site into rental warehouse space. I suspect their site is worth £5m+. Anyone live near Liverpool that can comment better? | topvest
20/1/2005 13:41 | Looking like maybe next Monday? And then the correction on Tuesday, of course.... | business link
14/1/2005 17:49 | Next week for the interims then, by the look of things. | topvest |
